{Chapter 2 Teenagers and Vampires}
Desi| "Twilight sucks"
I guess you could say I liked being alone but sometimes I wish I had friends, and sometimes I wish I was normal but that would never happen, I will never be normal or have friends but its nice too think about.
"Destiny it's time for school up!" My mother calls out as I'm already wide awake
"Already awake" I said grabbing my bag walked out of my room "where's Ty?" I asked
"He's still sick" mom says I rolled my eyes and walked over too Ty's room "GET UP TY YOUR GOING TOO SCHOOL YOU CAN FULL MOM BUT NOT ME" I yelled
His girlfriend was laying next too him but when she saw me she started too freak out "oh shit"
"Yea you get out of here, and Ty got ready for school you've got ten minutes" I said and left the room
"I should've known he was faking" Mom says I sigh " You already have your hands full go wake up Jude I can handle Ty from here mom."
Mom smiles "thanks darling" she kisses my forehead "lets go, waiting on you now" Ty says walking out the door

Ty and I got too school on time he went with his friends and I went too my locker then started walking too my first class,
"Hey did you hear about the book we are reading in English?" I heard the voice of a cheerful Carmen Dupree
"No what is it?" I asked as she grinned "TWILIGHT, it's one of my favorite books I just love Edward and Jacob Im more of a Jacob fan what about you?" She asked
"Neither I'm not a fan of the book but I'll suffer and read it for the good grades" I said and she shrugged
"WE COULD START A BOOK CLUB" Carmen says "terrible idea" I said heading into the english class room
"It'll be fun" she says I looked at her "doubtful" I said sitting down as she sat next too me
This is very new no ones has ever sat by me in class-
"Think about it we could call it Carmen and Desi's Book Club" she says I looked at my papers thinking "I'll get back too you on that idea but we'll need a better name than that"
I looked up on time too see Xander and a redhead walk in late "Ah, Mr. Walsh and Mr. Lyon welcome too our class" Mrs. Richmond says as she heads too her desk
Xander looked at Carmen and I "Are you too friends now?" He asked
"Still working on the friends part" Carmen says
"Before we again reading Twilight lets take attendance." Mrs Richmond says as she started calling names and I fell asleep
"Destiny Whitman? Is Destiny here?"Mrs Richmond asked, I felt someone pick up my hands and wave them.
I opened one eye too see who had picked my hands up and it was Carmen, I then fell back asleep after attendance
I was just bored not tired
I heard the bell rang which made me jump up "Im alive!" I yell as everyone looks at me
"Good too hear that Miss Whitney I hope you were paying attention" Mrs Richmond says "Bella's in love with a guy named Edward Cullen who's a vampire, Edward tries too stay away from her but is completely and utterly in love with her, does that sum up the whole book?" I asked and walked out
"I thought you said you hate twilight" Carmen says as she walked next too me
"I do but my sister Cleo doesn't she talked about it non stop so I practically know the story by heart thanks too her"
I went too my locker and got my Algebra book "your family seems cool" Carmen says as I laughed
"Sure if that's the word too describe my family" I said putting the Twilight book in my locker.
I shut my locker and we started walking too our next class "My family are throwing a barbeque you guys should totally come and hang out" Carmen says
"Socializing isn't my thing" I said "no but your family might like it" she says, damn she's got a point too
"Let me guess you'll think about it?" She asks and I shrugged as my brother Ty walks by "hey told mom we're going too a barbeque Friday just a heads up" he says and quickly disappeared into the crowded hallway
I looked at Carmen "don't look at me I didn't tell him, it was probably my foster sister who told him" she says
"Who's your foster sister?" I asked
"Izabella Blythe" she says and I nodded "oh yeah had too kick her out of our home this morning so Ty could get ready for school" I said
"Really I thought they were just friends didn't know they were dating" Carmen says
"I don't think they are dating I think he's just sleeping with her" I said and Carmen nodded "well that's funny because my foster mom thinks she's still her innocent little princess" Carmen says
"Not so innocent now huh?" I joked as we both laughed together

Having a friend felt weird, good but weird I wasn't alone anymore. I tried too keep my distance away from my family as well but not too much even that was a bit too lonely for me
But I probably won't admit that Carmen is a friend just yet, I don't want too let my guard down too quickly.
