New school •Chapter 1•

This chapter takes place a month before Wednesday arrives.
Pov: Enid

"Enid-" "Coming!!!" Screams Enid, rushing to make the room look as beautiful as it could be. "I'm here I'm here!" Enid rushes to the Principals office and sees an anxiety filled girl standing next to Ms.Weems.

POV: Journey
I see a pale girl just a bit shorter than me with blonde hair rushing into the room I am standing in and I can't lie, I did get a little startled from her entrance. "This is Enid, your new roommate" explains Ms.Weems. "Enid, this is Journey"  "Don't the dorms hold 3 people?" I ask, wondering where the other person was. "Ah, yes. You will for now only have Enid, but we should be getting new students soon!" Says Ms.Weems in a happy tone. "Nice to meet you roomie!" I hear from beside me, where Enid is standing."Nice to meet you to" I respond shortly.

After being dismissed from the principals office, Enid takes me on a tour of the school. "There are four main groups, the Fangs, which are vampires. They have been here for decades." "Next, the Furs, werewolves like me! Full moons get pretty loud." "The Scales are the sirens, they can literally control you with just a song! Especially Bianca..I would advise staying clear from her. Her parents are pretty famous and Bianca definitely doesn't lack in that suit." "And last but not least there's the Stoners, they've got a bunch of snakes on their heads as hair! If you catch their eyes you'll be turned to stone for a short period, but most of them use hats." Enid explains. "But what about the outcasts that don't fit in those groups..?" I ask quite curious.

I get a quick answer as soon as the words come out of my mouth. "Those are just the main clicks! Don't worry there's a lot of others that don't fit into those categories. "Speaking of which, what are you?" She questions.

"A chimera.." I respond, wondering how she'll react.

"O.M.G" Enid half screams half whispers. "That's so cool!!!!" "What is it like?? How does it effect you??" She says in an impatient voice.

"I have the strength and claws of a lion, the intelligence of a goat, and the fangs of a snake" I told her, rather fast as I try to keep up with Enid's pace. "That's really cool!" Enid exclaimed before realizing she was wasting lots of time.

"Oh shit! Look at the time- let me show you the dorm!" She cheered as she took my arm and dragged me to our dorm.

"And this is it!!"

Enid's side was very..unique... It was like colors were thrown onto the wall without hesitation.

I looked at the 3 beds in the room, just checking my surroundings. "That side is yours!" Enid says cheerfully. "Alright" I walk over there and set out my stuff, making it feel a bit more like home.

I set down my blanket and pillows while checking to see if I missed anything. Then the corner of my eye caches one more case by my bedside waiting to be opened. At first I'm a little confused but soon I realize... there's my violin! I had been looking for it. I put it by my bed and flop down onto the soft covers as the dark sky pushes its beauty through the window.

"Night roomie" I hear Enid say sleepily.

"Night" I respond, falling into a peaceful sleep.
