Nick giggles as he walks through a flowery field—the tall grass tickling his sides. He lifts his hands into the air, taking in the cold breeze that hits his face every so smoothly. He hears a bird chirp loudly as it hovers above him, a raven. Nick smiles as he hums his favorite tune, beautifully singing as he looks up at the raven. The bird flies down and lands on his shoulder, singing with the boy. "Woah!! You're good at singing!" he hears someone say, running up to him from the forest.
The boy flinches as he turns to look at the boy running toward him. He has brunette hair and brown eyes—a purple sweater hugs his body. Another boy walks out of the forest, following the brunette closely. He has black hair, lighter than Nick's. He has brown eyes and a beanie on his head. "Karl!! Wait!" the raven-haired boy yells, running after his friend. "You have an amazing voice!" the boy—Karl—says, stopping in front of Nick.
Nick grows red as he eyes the two friends. Who are they? "Oh...thank you," he whispers in response. Karl nods, "I'm Karl!! And this is my friend, Alex, but I call him Quackity!"—Nick smiles as he peers at the grass reaching his waist, staring at the small white flowers. "I'm Nick...I like to be called Sapnap," he says. He lifts his head, finding Karl and Alex both looking at him. "Hey, we should be friends!! What do you say?" Karl says, holding out his hand to Nick.
Alex nods his head in agreement, bumping his shoulder against Karl's. Nick bites at the inside of his lip—he doesn't know these people. Should he accept the offer? Clay comes to mind, of course. The Prince has been on his mind ever since their boat ride. He knows what Clay would tell him. After days of getting to know each other, Nick can predict anything the blonde will say. "Sure, okay!" he smiles, taking Karl's hand gently. The brunette jumps happily.
"Great!! Come on! Let's go back to Evergreen—Quackity and I were going to a bakery after we grabbed some flowers for the baker," Karl says. Alex nods, "yeah, come on!" Nick nods as he watches the two pick a few small white flowers scattered around the grass—grabbing enough to make a mini bouquet. Nick smiles as he follows the two away from the field and back into the forest. Maybe I should introduce them to Dream, Nick thinks. He wants Clay to know Nick's made friends. Friends aside for him.
Clay has been complaining that Nick doesn't have friends other than the blonde—he's right. Nick doesn't. Not until now. Nick is happy he's succeeding in the one goal Clay had set for him. "Why don't we stop by at the castle afterward?" he suggests, noticing how Karl and Alex stared at each other in confusion. "What?" Alex questions, glancing back at Nick. The boy shrugs as he examines the ground, "well...I wanted to introduce Prince Dream to you two. He and I are friends!"
Karl giggles as he looks back at Nick, "what? No, you're not. Nobody is friends with the Prince!"—"Yeah, he only has a few friends he met when he was a kid. You moved here last week," Alex adds. Nick hums as he keeps his eyes on the grass, "right... forget I said that." Karl and Alex shrug as they look back forward. Great. You've already screwed up.

Nick sighs as he stands behind Karl and Alex—the two talking with a woman running the bakery they've just arrived in. "Have a nice day, Niki!" Karl says, waving goodbye. "We have to go now...but we'll hang out later, okay?" Alex asks, looking at Nick. The raven nods as he watches his newly found friends walk away. Nick peers at the counter of the bakery. He looks at the woman standing there with a bright smile. "Hello! You must be the new resident here!!"
She holds out her hand to Nick. The raven smiles as he takes her hand gently, "yeah, I am. My name is Nick. I like-"—"-To be called Sapnap! Hehe, the Prince stopped by earlier and told me about you," she says. Nick flushes red. Does Clay talk about him? "Oh, did he?" Nick questions quietly, feeling his hand be set free from the other's grasp. "Yeah! My name is Niki," she says. The raven smiles as he eyes Niki; she's beautiful. The boy swore he'd heard her name before.
Clay has mentioned a friend, Wilbur. He's mentioned Niki's name whenever talking about the brunette—even while talking about Darryl's cooking and baking. "It's nice to meet you, Niki!" Nick takes a deep breath as he glances in the castle's direction. "I...I should get going. Maybe I'll come by later," Nick says. "It was nice meeting you too, Sap! If you come by, I'll bake you something as a gift!!" Nick thanks her as he walks away from the bakery, waving goodbye to Niki.
He takes a shaky breath. He walks along a rocky path in the short wet grass—someone must've watered the flowers surrounding the area. "Watch out!!" Nick feels his body get tackled to the ground. A huff leaves him from the impact of his body falling against the path. "Oh shit! Sorry!!" he hears a British voice ring through his ears; the boy sounds young. "It's okay—are you alright?" Nick asks, getting up from the ground as he dusts his clothes. He peers at the path, a blonde boy sitting there.
"Oh, I'm fine! My name is Tommy, by the way. You're the new guy, aren't you?" the boy—Tommy—asks, getting up from the ground with a grunt. "Yeah, I'm Nick- Sapnap. Are you sure you're okay? Your hands are..." Nick trails off as he stares at Tommy's hands. His palms are red, bits of blood peeking through elevated pieces of skin. "Tsk, this is nothing! I've been through worse. But if Prince Dream is to find out that I bumped into you and possibly injured you, it'd be the end for me!" Tommy says.
Nick hums in confusion, "what do you mean by that?"—"Tommy!! Are you two alright?" The raven turns to find another boy around the same age as Tommy. "Oh, hey! I'm Tubbo, Tommy's friend!" the brunette says, happily waving at Nick. The raven smiles at the boy, "hey...but what do you mean by what you said?"—"I mean what I said! If you get hurt, Clay might go mad!! Trust me, you two might've known each other for a few days, but the Prince has grown attached," Tommy responds.
The raven's face grows red as he repeats Tommy's words silently. Does Clay care about him that much? No...that can't be true. Nick shakes his head, "I have to go. It was nice meeting you two. Take care of that," he says, motioning at Tommy's palms. He hears the two laugh as they proceed to run again. Nick giggles as he shakes his head, making his way to the castle. Weird...three people already know about me from Dream. Clay couldn't have possibly talked about Nick to his friends, could he?
