Angel and Aki spent their days together, holding gloved hands, watching movies, and going on missions. And sometimes kissing through plastic wrap. And that's all it was. True.. love?

Aki wondered when it was a good time to say "I love you." But he wasn't sure. Because he loved Angel. He just wasn't sure if it was too early. It had been two months since it started, but Aki had never been in a serious relationship, so he honestly wasn't sure at this point. He thought about it and licked his teeth as he walked, flowers in hand. Today? He shook his head. After two months, Angel's house was fully stocked with plastic wrap. So Aki never brought any of his own over anymore, which made it easier.

"Hey." Angel greeted him in front of his apartment building. Aki hid the flowers behind his back. Angel's eyes followed the bouquet. "And who are those for?" His eyes lifted towards Aki.

Aki let out a muffled laugh. "I wonder who." He stepped closer to Angel, and lifted his glove to his lips and kissed him through his hand. "So." Aki handed him the flowers gently. "Fan of flowers?"

Angel smiled widely and accepted the flowers. "I guess." He hesitated, and held his gloved hand up to aki's lips. And kissed him too. Aki smiled. "Thank you. I'll put these in a vase real quick upstairs, I'll be right back." Aki nodded as he watched him pace inside. A sentence could describe their relationship. Puppy love. Stupid love. Any one including love. Aki thought about lighting a cigarette, but he remembered he had quit. He smiled at the sky.

"Dating an angel has its benefits." He closed his eyes.

"Um.." His eyes snapped open and looked down, Angel stood in front of him, smiling stupidly. "Such a poet" he said ironically. Aki scoffed.

"You're lucky I love you." Aki realized his mistake and felt leather slap his lips as his glove hit him. Angel looked longingly. "I'm sorry Angel.. I.. messed up. I meant to say I like you and-" he blabbed. Angel laughed, and grabbed his tie, pulling Aki's face to his.

"I love you too." He looked Aki dead in the eyes. Aki's sweep of embarrassment had been washed away by the words. Angel put his hand to Aki's face. "So don't apologize, unless you really don't love me." Angel frowned.

"No! No!" Aki spat. "I love you. I just thought you wouldn't feel the same. So I tried to stop myself." Angel smiled and felt Aki's face with his gloved hand.

"I wish I could kiss you." He sighed. "Really." Aki nodded quietly in agreement. Angel clasped his hands together. "Now that that's over with.." he spoke. "Where to?"

Aki rose from his bend. "Hmm." He thought for a second. "The movie theater? I hear they're playing a Ghibli movie today." Angel smiled and linked into his arm.

"Sure." He rested his head on Aki's shoulder, waiting for him to walk forward. And he did. As they walked, they talked about the snacks they felt like getting. Popcorn. Candy. Soda. Technically, Makima was funding their dates. Which was funny to them.

As they arrived, they bought their tickets and snacks, and sat down in their assigned seats. Angel pulled a box of plastic wrap from his pocket and smirked at Aki. Aki shook his head and laughed. They shared a box of popcorn as they watched. Laughing and holding hands. Angel snatched the wrap from his pocket.

"Every time someone cries those really fat tears, we kiss." Angel smacked his lips. Aki shook his head once more.

"Alright, alright, fine." Aki sighed. Angel clapped. 15 minutes later, tears fell from the characters eyes. Aki and Angel spun towards each other, and Angel pulled the wrap to his face. They shared a peck, and Angel giggled.

By the time the movie had ended, they had kissed only about 5 times. To Aki, it was plenty, but to Angel it wasn't really enough. He expected more. "Wanna come to my apartment to bake something?" Angel asked as they walked home.

"What?"

"I don't know. Cookies?"

"Okay." Aki agreed. Angel turned to the side and pumped his fist in success. Part one, complete. Angel thought. He was going to kiss Aki to death. Through plastic wrap of course. (DONT WORRY THIS STAYS PERFECTLY AGE APPROPRIATE IT DOES NOT GO ANY FURTHER THAN KISSING.)
