Aki and Angel sat silently throughout the car ride. Angel would open his mouth to speak, turn to Aki, and then decide to say nothing. And every time he did this, Aki did notice. He snickered. Angel realized that Aki had known by now, and spat, "well will you say something to me?" Aki shrugged as he kept his hand on the wheel. Angel bit his lip. What do we say now? He thought. "Do you have the cookie stuff at your house?" He asked bored.

"Yep."

Angel nodded at the word. He kept thinking of things to say as he looked out the window, bored.

The car stopped and Angel stepped out onto the curb. They walked into the complex and up the elevator. They opened the door to find Power and Denji arguing over the movie they were going to watch. They watched in silence as the two bickered.

"Hey." Aki barked. The two turned their heads. "They're playing Ghibli all day today at the theatre." He reached for the yen in his pocket, and pulled it out. "Go. Theres enough money for the tickets themselves and snacks. Behave." The two raced over, and out the door. Angel shrugged.

"Jumped that obstacle I guess." They stepped into the kitchen, and Aki jumped.

"Oh yeah." He quickly walked to the bathroom, and came back with a hair tie. "Just so your hair doesn't get in your face." Angel nodded. Aki had done this a couple times, obviously, so he wasn't as nervous. As Aki finished, he tied an apron around his own and Angel's waist.

"Well mr. tough-guy, aren't these a little cute for your taste?" Angel said as he looked down at the pink apron. Sprinkled with white polka-dots and cute ducks.

"Nah." Aki replied, his head buried in the pantry. He retreated with cookie ingredients in hand. As he set them on the counter, Angel leaned forward, and pecked his cheek. "Oh." Aki said. Angel winked and smiled. "OH!" Angel and Aki gasped. "How much life did you take??" Angel scouted his thoughts.

"Umm..." he closed his eyes in concentration. He found the number. "2 days." He blurted. Aki's alarmed stance turned into a slouch.

"That isn't that bad." He measured the ingredients.

"Sorry." Angel apologized. Somehow, his apologies never sounded sincere. But Aki seemed to be the only person who understood that he did mean what he said, and not just a lousy excuse some people choose to make. Aki smiled softly.

"Its okay."

He lightly treaded to the door and picked up the plastic wrap Angel dropped at the door. "Just use this next time." He handed it to Angel. This made Angel feel understood. It was a "well he knew that I knew that he knew-" situation. And Angel let a sigh of relief slip. As they baked and bumped hips, Angel would gingerly bring the plastic wrap to Aki's face, sometimes brushing his bangs from his face with his gloved hands.

Sometimes they forgot they were baking, and would hold each other, or dance, or lightly kiss. Like a love you couldn't compare to another, because it was stronger than any other love story, and it was true. They knew it too. Time flew, and the small ding! Of the oven snapped them of their lovey-dovey trance.

"Oh yeah!" Angel exclaimed, releasing Aki's hands. "We were baking cookies." Angel giggled, and pulled on oven gloves. He opened the oven to find black, and burnt duck-shaped cookies. They gasped and slowly turned heads towards each other in horror. They laughed as they pulled them out.

"We can do this the right way another time." Aki said. "Yeah." Angel agreed. "Wanna watch a movie or something?"

"Sure."
