Chapter 11.

Shadow stared at Sonic furiously, Sonic just stared in awe at the pink giggling hedgehog beside him "So Sonic how have you been?" Shadow asked causing the cobalt hedgie to spin his head towards him. For a moment Sonic played with his gloves "Good, Wishing I could apologize to a certain someone" the words fumbled out of his mouth. Amy smiled "Well I think you and Sally are GREAT together!" She pat Sonic on the back "Hah...I..don't really like her..that way.." Sonic said "Oh please Sonic you've only liked her since you knew her! And that goes way back!" Amy exclaimed "Not particularly.." Sonic's ear bobbed down "PSH, yeah okay" Amy said sarcastically.

Shadows eyebrows furrowed in confusion These two act like a bickering married couple he thought to himself and chuckled "Why are you laughing?" Amy glared at the ebony hedgehog across from her angrily "No reason rose" Shadow said giving her a warm smile. Amy rolled her eyes, she couldn't stay mad for long.

The three left the pancake house, "Thanks for breakfast Shads!" Amy exclaimed, Shadow hugged her "Yeah thanks Shadow" Sonic smiled, "No problem guys, well...I think me and Amy should be going" Shadow insisted "Wait, I need to talk to Amy" Sonic exclaimed grabbing onto Amy.

Shadow stood there watching Amy walk with Sonic to a far enough distance so he could not here their conversation. "What is it Sonic?" The sakura hedgehog asked him "Amy, I just wanted to say..I'm really sorry...I didn't think when I said those things..and I really think if you give me a second chance we could be great together...what do you say Ames?" Sonic asked, Amy flinched when she heard him call her Ames.

"Sonic..." Amy pulled her hand away from his grip "I forgive you...but...my heart belongs to someone else.." She gestured to Shadow. "Ames...you haven't even known him that long!" Sonic growled gripping her wrist again "But" amy tried to speak "I can give you more! I love you Amy" Sonic tighten his grip "Sonic" Amy tried to speak again "Don't you hear me! I love you! I want us to be together!" Sonic continued "SONIC THE HEDGEHOG, HES BEEN THERE FOR ME MORE THAN YOU HAVE!" Amy yelled pulling her hand a way from him and striking him across the face.

Sonic was taken back, Shadow on the other hand was laughing. Amy marched away from Sonic towards Shadow, "Come on Shadow.." Amy smiled trying to calm down "Alright rose" Shadow placed his hand on her hip and walked away with Amy. Sonic stood there holding his cheek "Amy..." He mumbled.

Shadow and Amy were walking side by side "Rose..Are you okay?" Shadow asked looking down to Amy, her face was flushed "Yeah..." Amy said quietly "Are you sure? You look like you've just seen a ghost" Shadow pulled her close causing Amy to stop walking "He wanted a second chance.." She mumbled "Maybe you should give him one...but only as friends" Shadow said "You think so..?" Amy looked up at Shadow "Yes..." Shadow smiled "Okay..maybe I will.." Amy said undecided about the idea.

The next day Amy walked over to Sonics house, she took a deep breath and knocked on his door. After a moment the door creeked open "Hello?" Sonic asked curiously "Hey" Amy smiled "Ames?" Sonic exclaimed surprised "Haha yeah, I was just think about what you said, and I'm going to give you a second chance.. BUT only as friends" Amy punched him lightly "Ow that's great!!" Sonic smiled brightly pulling Amy in for a hug catching her off guard.
