(Y/N)-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I ran as fast as I could, with my heart pounding, while thorns and bristles scratched at my bare legs, as I pushed through the undergrowth, not daring to look back. Screams and explosions echoing behind me, as I ran. I was basically holding back tears as I tried to force the fear and terror out of my head. There were many shouts and rustles around me as people ran from the shelter that had kept us safe and hidden for so long.

None of us knew exactly where we were going, as there had been little time to react or even plan. What had started out as a regular morning for the inhabitants of our bunker, had turned into a scramble for survival.

The Soldiers - the people who had once been a part of the military before the invasion and take-over - bravely staying behind to hold off the Anthros, while the citizens without weapons ran. Usually there would have been an escape plan, but not this time. The bunker that we had been residing in had been attacked completely without warning. There had been little time to prepare, or even evacuate most of the people before the siege on our shelter began, which left people panicking, while soldiers tried to maintain order and help people through a number of hidden exits and tunnels that emerged far from the bunker where the chaos was taking place.

Behind me, I could hear distant screams of people, while there was an even more distant fire of guns that seemed non-stop.

My breaths were ragged. My heart was pounding so much it nearly ached.

There were loud buzzing sounds as countless small alien drones, zipped through the air. Obviously scouting the area for the fleeing survivors. They clearly weren't planning on letting anyone go. I couldn't help but feel a shiver of cold run along my spine as I thought of what would happen if we were all caught. I had seen it happen to many people. I had been lucky to escape.

But this isn't the early days of the invasion anymore... surely the Anthros might have calmed down a bit with the whole, 'killing every Human in sight.' Right?

I certainly didn't want to find out myself, and those hopes for such mercy were very unlikely. While I was grateful that I was alive, and not one of the poor souls that had been eaten during the invasion, it was still difficult to imagine the Anthro's opinions of the Human race ever changing, considering they seemed to view us more as prey then actual sentient beings.

I ducked down into the long brittle dry grass, as one of the pod like drones zipped overhead. A scanning light pointing to the ground. It hovered for a second before it moved on. I wasn't exactly wearing bright clothes, so at least I didn't stand out from my surroundings.

My sigh wavered as I took in a deep breath of air, when I realized that I had been unconsciously holding my breath. I stood up again, cautiously, before began to move once more towards the evacuation spot, where me and all of the other inhabitants of the Bunker had been told to meet. Pushing through the dead dry yellow grass while the sounds of insects chirped around me, mixed with the buzzing's of several drones which had long since flown into the distance.
