I was home already and no one was in the house but me, they were all in the hospital but I can't make myself go since I feel so guilty. If only I washed the vegetable properly and checked his lunch if it was clean then Albino wouldn’t be in that horrible place in the first place. While at home I think I was turning obsessive as I cleaned everything in Albino’s room and checked if it was squeaking and no cockroaches or rats were in his room since Albino’s health is so delicate.

When I was finished I hurried going to school and I knew I was in big trouble. I was immediately thrown to the principals office. Sitting on one of the chairs that faced the old balding principal he looks at me calmly.

“What were you thinking running away from class?” he asks

I frown “Sir there are kids who cuts class and you don’t even glance at them but in this little thing you notice me?”

He sighs “But those kids didn’t enter and break in the room”

“It was a family emergency!” I argued

“But still you needed permission” he says with the same calm voice like he was bored out of his mind “your teacher said he told you that”

“Yeah well its an Emergency! Don’t you hear me an Emergency! It was life and death!” I was frustrated like this people didn’t fucking care at all.

“Detention” was all he said “for four months now go, I’m busy”

I scowled and slam the door behind me ignoring the secretary say goodbye and went to my locker. My feet still hurts from walking barefoot but I manage to look like I didn’t feel nothing at all. passing Iriana, I ignored her and searched for Celina who was in the bathroom examining her glasses.

“I never thought you had glasses?” I ask

She sighs and looks at me “Now I need them, my eyes were too blurry to read the board.” She raises the square glasses. “well it’s not like I’m not going to be scientist and not wear them its just that the popular kids will only laugh at us even more”

I sigh and look at her through the mirror, she puts it on and she still look like a model, you know the models in pictures with glasses that only makes them hotter. On the other hand, I look too simple but to my point of view right now, simple seems to be good or better than over noticed.

Celina puts her arm on my shoulder as we look at each other in the mirror. She sighs and I sigh, we stare at each other even more until the bell rings and we sigh together and walk out of the bathroom, burst out laughing. We look at each other and we knew we were weird but for friends weird is good because that’s how you know, through thick or thin you’ll always be together and we know each other that much.

We passed by Iriana she says hi to us, Celina replied but I didn’t. I wasn’t upset at her, I was upset with her narcissistic brother. I sigh and look at her. “Please just keep me away from your brother”

She nods “yeah I know he is a jerk sometimes”

“Sometimes?” Celina says “Why not always with his attitude like that I know he’s always a jerk”

Iriana sighs “you’re right, he was always like that”

We laughed as we walk together to our next class. We sit on the very back and see the four sets of popular kids of Sk8ters of Geeks and of course loners. We watched as they came in and Jax was one of them and as soon as he came in, his eyes darted to Iriana and nods in greeting and made his own seat on the front corner.
