THIS ONE IS FOR YOU AND ME, LIVING OUT OUR DREAMS
"Yo, dad," Milo Leclerc exclaimed with a screwed face as he called his father over from the other side of the garage. "I thought F1 drivers were meant to be fast?"
Charles did not appreciate the sarcastic tone his son's words had been laced with all weekend, but what did he expect from Milo. He was 95% Presley and only 5% Charles; at least, that was what Charles reckoned.
The 3 time World Champion placed a firm hand on his son's shoulder and pushed him down into the rotating chair Milo had been glued to all weekend.
Milo held his hands up. "Woah, I was just joking," He defended with a smirk, although he wasn't. "Lew Lew is doing a fabulous job," And there was his famous snicker again.
Charles shook his head. "Be nice, Milo; Lewis was incredibly supportive when you got your first senior Arsenal appearance," The Leclerc patriarch pressed.
Milo rolled his eyes, "Only because mum forced him to come and watch, remember he wanted to go to that music festival,"
Presley was a stickler for the boys supporting each other even when they didn't want to. She knew the importance of being a unit, especially in a world that tried to tear them apart.
All four of their children had grown up with a silver spoon, and it didn't matter how strict Charles and Presley had been with them; it didn't eradicate the privilege their children received.
Eager to change the subject, Charles asked how his eldest son's injury was healing. Milo shrugged his shoulders. "Was barely injured, totally could have played this weekend," He complained.
Milo meant he could have stayed back in London and gone out with whatever Instagram model he was dating.
"How is Kyra getting on?" Charles asked, "Daniel said she was enjoying living in London. Do you see her much?"
Milo shook his head. "How would I know? I made a pact with Henry that she was off limits...." The young Leclerc pointed out.
The mention of pacts took Charles back; Presley and Juno had accords for everything. Including their famous One Direction pact, which felt like a lifetime ago. Well, it was nearly 25 years ago, which said it all.
Charles, however, was not up to date with this new pact that Milo shared with his best friend Henry, and it turned out that Milo was not keen to inform his father today.
"Damn, Senna is rapid," Milo cheered as the excited tones of the presenters boomed through the TV, documenting his incredible overtake on the Alpine.
Charles nodded, "Now that is a classic Uncle Lewis move. Did you see how he braked late in the corner," Charles said as the replay came over the screen. "I bet Senna can make that move in his sleep; Uncle Lewis certainly could,"
In Charles' later career, when he had left Ferrari to join Mercedes in the last two years of his F1 stint, Sir Lewis Hamilton had the most significant impact. It was down to the record-breaking champ that earned Charles his third and final World Title.
"Oh look, Lewis is making his way up the pack," Milo noted as he clenched his fists, "Come on, bro," He praised, watching Lewis in the red car make it into the top 10.
One of the biggest shocks in recent years was how far Ferrari had fallen down the graces. Sure, they had had bad years, but they weren't even in the top three teams anymore.
Mercedes had retained the crown for many years and now had more wins than any other team. Pundits applauded the tireless work of Lewis Hamilton, Scarlet Crusoe and George Russell, who had taken over as Team Principal three seasons ago.
