"It's so nice having my twins back under the same roof," Presley cooed as she placed a hand on Milo and Lewis's shoulders. "I hate you both live so far away now,"
The twins flying the nest had been the hardest thing for Presley, as they were both so young when they left. She had missed having Milo and Lewis around, especially when Jules was having one of her teenage tantrums – only her older brothers seemed to have the remedy.
Milo was the first to fly the coop. He had moved to London upon signing for Arsenal which caused Presley no end of worry. How could her little boy look after himself when he couldn't even manage to sort his washing into lights and darks?
Charles on the other hand was excited to have Milo out of the house. He knew that his eldest son was about to embark on an incredible journey, and even though he had chosen not to sign for Monaco, Charles couldn't wait to cheer him on.
Lewis rolled his eyes and let out a short groan. "Mum, I literally live forty minutes away," He pointed out. "In fact, you still come over unannounced," He laughed as Presley kissed the top of his head.
Presley and Charles didn't have favourites because that would be wrong. They loved all their children equally, but when it came to the twins, even from young Presley and Lewis had a close bond. He was more sensitive that Milo, who was brash and confident even when he was wrong.
Whilst Milo was following his father around to every race, asking questions and desperate to get into the driver's seat and beat Henry's times, Lewis was usually found close to his mother.
It always struck family friends as odd that Charles, who to most was a sensitive boy, would form a deep connection with Milo who was seemingly his opposite. Milo had his mother's devil may care attitude, usually willing to do what he wanted even if it went against what he should.
So of course, it came as an even greater shock when it was Lewis who decided to pursue racing. Charles realised it was because for all of Milo's competitive qualities, he was not patient, whereas Lewis was. He knew he had to put the hard work to even come close to getting a seat on merit.
"That's because you don't return my calls," Presley said as Charles wandered into the kitchen.
"Who doesn't return your calls?" Charles asked pressing a kiss to his wives cheek and greeting his eldest sons. "I'm guessing it's this one," He laughed raising a beeping hand over Milo's head like a security scanner.
Milo rolled his eyes. "I lose my phone once in a club and suddenly I'm the default option for bad communicating," He retorted with a skulking face.
Presley shook her head. "Try your racing protegee, darling." She said tilting her head in Lewis' direction.
"Well that's because he is spending all his time perfecting his racing...isn't that right my boy," Charles winked gripping his hands on the younger twins shoulders. "You can feel the muscles on this one, so he must be hitting the gym!"
The twins laughed as their mother raised a brow. Oops, now they were all in trouble but luckily Presley laughed it off. She loved it when Charles and the twins clamoured together on anything, and Charles adored having both Milo and Lewis together even if he was too proud to admit it.
Just as they finished laughing Charles suddenly threw a stern face and wiggled his finger in front of the twins. "But in all seriousness, you agreed that you would call your mum once a week for a minimum of an hour catch up,"
"Thank you, my Love, what would I do without you?" Presley grinned lovingly and wrapped her arms around her husband's waist. She rested her head against Charles' shoulder as the twins groaned.
