tell her that he loves her,
whisper his secrets,
and then leave.
We'll see them,
only in happy times,
we'll see them,
the happiest couple,
we'll see them,
and want to be them.
We won't see him leave her,
all we'll have are pictures,
of the happiest couple.
We'll see the smiles,
see what they shared,
watch them hold hands,
watch them fall apart.
We won't be there,
we can't help them,
even though we watched
They're already
destined to be apart.
But we'll watch them,
envy them,
torture them.
