Teach me to swim,
let me jump in,
hold me above water,
and guide from the land.
Boy I once loved,
with my life I've given you,
take this trust that I owe you,
and teach me to swim.
Watch as I drown,
or watch as I stroke,
take a few minutes,
to admire your work.

for us to learn,
that this would never work.
With this trust I give you,
boy so cruel,
you taught me to swim,
and I taught you to love.
