I was going over my best friends house. Hayes Grier. Yes the famous Hayes Grier. We have been best friends since day one- literally we r only a month apart. Him being the older one. I've always had secret feelings for Hayes. But I knew he would never like me back. I mean he can have practically any girl. I'm just-well I'm just me. Y/c hair, y/e/c eyes. About y/height

**Hayes POV**
Y/n is coming over today and I couldn't be more excited- and nervous. I've had a huge crush on her for what seems like forever. She's gorgeous. But I don't think she likes me back. I was sitting in the kitchen on my phone when I heard a knock on the door. I walk over and open it to see he girl I've been in love with for years.

**Y/n POV**
I knocked on the door and Hayes answered almost immediately.
"Hey" he says- he seems nervous, I wonder why.

"Hey Hayes" I say and walk in.

"So, do u wanna go on the trampoline?" He asks, he still seems nervous, and trust me I know when the kid is nervous- I've known him for almost 15 years. But I just brush it off and say,

"Yeah sure." He grabs my bag which had my pajamas and a change of clothes- cause I'm sleeping over and put it on a bench that has been there since we were like two. Then we walked out to the trampoline together.

It is now about 10:30 and it's starting to storm. Hayes and I are now are both in our pajamas, me in a pair of Nike shorts and one of my y/sport/shirts
Hayes in his Adidas pants and a muscle tank. We both are laying on the couch. Deep down inside I'm scared from all of the thunder and lighting. There's a really bad storm right now and it isn't supposed to end anytime soon. I've always had a fear of thunder storms- and Hayes of course knew this. He starts to notice how scared I am and pulls me closer to his chest. He holds me tight. I start to shake and Another thing of thunder makes a loud noise outside. I scream and He gives me a tight squeeze and whispers,

"Listen to my voice, don't focus on the storm, I'm right here, I'm not gonna let anything happen to you" and this reminded me why I loved this boy so much.
