ALRIGHT.  I wrote two chapters today.  One of them may be half the size as the others, but I wrote two chapters today.

This is not reread so mind the bad grammar.

Snake 9:34 AM

Depends, how many people, ages, and would they be okay living with a compulsive liar and a coffee addict who has no sense of personal boundaries?

Virgin the Poet 9:35 AM

Oh shit, there are 4 other people-

Virgin the Poet 9:35 AM

All 18 and yeah

Virgin the Poet 9:35 AM

Three of them are shit at boundaries too

Virgil was practically shaking as he typed back.  He really thought that Janus was lying, it was in his damn name.  And yet he still was willing to help.  From the sound of it, Remy was in on it too.

He hadn't seen them in, what, 5 years?  These two could be entirely different.  They could treat him and his friends like shit and they'd just have to take it because they have nowhere else to go.

Virgil felt a hand on his shoulder and turned to look at Logan.  Sweet oblivious Logan.  "What's wrong?  What did he say?"  Virgil turned the phone towards the other, all the while tensing up again at the pure smell of the alleyway they were camped out in.

"That's good.  Why are you worried?"  Way to call me out, Virgil thought.  Instead, he said, "I just haven't seen them in five fucking years.  Don't know how they're going to act..."  Virgil could practically feel the eye roll Logan sent in his direction.  "I'm sure they're nice enough.  They can't be that bad if they were willing to consider letting someone they haven't seen in however many years stay with them."  Ah, logic, Virgil's nemesis.

He was about to counter when he felt his phone vibrate, and he snapped his head back to his phone.

Snake 9:40 AM

Well, we have 3 guest rooms, think you can split it up between you all?

Virgil blinked at the screen for a moment.  "How the hell do they have a house with 3 guest rooms?"  He asked Logan, who looked just as confused.  "I have zero clue."  The other mumbled after a moment, cleaning his glasses with his shirt.

Virgin the Poet 9:42 AM

Yeah totally-

Virgil turned to look at his other three friends, one of which was sleeping.  Roman never was good at staying awake, Remus was always better at that.  Delilah was still full of adrenaline, shakily reorganizing their backpacks.

Snake 9:50

Where are you all right now?

Virgin the Poet 9:51

Edinburgh

Snake 9:56

That's 5 hours away, no way in hell are you walking.

Snake 9:58

Remy is willing to drive to pick you up

Virgil bit his lip, a nervous habit of his.  He knew that Janus was right, but really he didn't want him to be right.  Housing them would be enough, Remy didn't have to drive all the way over!

Still, he couldn't think of a response.  It wouldn't be a good idea to walk, that was true.  They would still walk for a little bit at least.

Virgin the Poet 10:06

Fine, we'll at least walk for an hour

Snake 10:07

Fuck that

Snake 10:07

No way in hell am I letting you walk any more than you already have.

Virgin the Poet 10:10

Ugh, forcing me to be logical, how dare.

Virgin the Poet 10:11

Thanks though, I really appreciate it.

Virgil shut his phone off and turned to Logan before he plopped his head on his shoulder.  "Are you going to tell them where we're staying?"  Virgil grumbled in response, before lifting his head.  "They can wait, I need to recover from the guilt of having Remy drive 10 hours to pick us up and bring us back..."

Logan chuckled, "Fair enough,"

He sure as hell hoped they'd all be okay, but for now, it was okay to rest.
