Where?

I picked myself off of the cold wet grass and flicked off the shavings. Where did I end up this time? I rolled my eyes. Not another forest trope, let me guess, somethings gonna chase me? I looked around and started walking. Sounds radiated from everywhere around me but I kept at the same pace. The noise got louder, sounding like footsteps. "Would you shut the fuck up?! Jesus big foot I've heard bears step quieter than you." I yelled behind me, hoping it would stop. I grumbled and kept walking.

Suddenly I heard music off in the distance. I sighed, following it in the direction it sounded like it was coming from. It sounded light, airy. Like a flute. I got closer, only to see an elf dressed in yellow and green clothing wearing what looked to be a santa hat playing an instriment I've never seen before. I watched behind a bush, listening to him play. Eventually he spots me. "What the hell are you doing here?" He asked me.

"What am I doing here? How are you comfortable looking like a blond christmas tree and playing an instriment bigger than your dick?" I put my hand on my hip and raise my eyebrow. His jaw dropped open, He stood in silence before turning and stomping away. "Yeah that's what I thought you little super sayin wannabee." My foot bumped something in front of me, picking it up, I noticed it was a dagger. It's black blade set firmly in a dark wooden handle. As I picked it up, a green banner appeared in front of me. Aquired Item: Steel dagger I looked at it for a second. Sticking my arm through it didn't do anything, it just morphed around me. As soon as it was there, it dissapeared. What is this a shitty RPG? I shoved the knife in my pocket and continued to wander around, hoping to find civilization.

Eventually, the sun started setting over the horrizon and the forest path turned into one of stone. I followed the worn road until buildings came into view.

I sighed, looking around me and grabbing the bridge of my nose with my hand. This is how it always starts. The buildings looked old and rustic, the sounds of people and animals filling my ears. Walking to a crossraods, a fat man with green skin, tusks looking like they could pierce metal, holding an axe taller than me, caught my eye.

"Welcome traveler." He stated to me, his voice harsh and dark. "This city full of shops, spend gold."

"I dont have any gold."

He looks shocked. "No gold? How live?"

I shrugged. "I make my way."

"Are you rogue, traveler?"

"What? No my name is Jack and I'm not part of some game."

The green giant looked at me curiously. "Game?"

I rolled my eyes and started to walk away, waving a dismisive hand.

The place in front of me looked like a log cabbin. It was a taller building with a slanted roof, a few small windows, and a door with a sign on it. Nook's Cranny The sign read.

I pushed the door open and walked inside, shelves full of swords, sheilds, bottles with dfferent liquids in them, and much more lined the walls and formed wide isles. At the back was a large wooden counter with a tall, skinny, man wearing a brown and black striped coat standing behind it. I approached the counter, and upon a second look the guy took on a slight resembelence to a racoon.

"Ah, a new face I see. Come to buy some of my wares?" He raised his eyebrow, leaning over the counter. "I'm Poe."

"Thanks but I don't have any money. I'm just trying to figure out where the hell I am."

Poe looked confused. "You don't know? Well my boy this is the great village of Bestoke. The finest properties right outside the big city."

"Right, well I'm not interested in buying, again I don't have any money."

"Well you could always pick up some jobs for a few coin, I always have arrends you could run for me."

I sighed. "Look Poe I'm not your little errand boy so you can get some other pussy lips to do your dirty work."

His face turned bitter. "Watch your tone boy." He spat.

"Or what? Whatcha gonna do rat boy?"

He smirked and snapped his fingers. A secret door appeared outside the counter and a woman walked through. "Garnet my dear we have a fiesty one."

"Got it." She nodded.

I eyed her slender frame as she moved closer. "Whats such a sexy woman like you doing working for a rat like that?" She drew a sword from her back and swung, I berally had enough time to duck, feeling it graze my cheek. "Not much of a talker are you?"

I rubbed a bit of blood off of my cheek as she swung again, narrowly missing my abdomen. "Slimes like you don't deserve to be in a town like this."

"Dude I'm just a guy who wandered here from the crack of nowhere, I don't care about thiis stupid city." I turned around to walk out of the store. As I went to open it, I suddenly felt a sharp pain in my back. Doubling over I let out a loud yell of pain. "What the fuck is wrong with you pieces of shit?! Theres no reason to stab me- Ack!" I coughed and liquid red spilled from my mouth. My vision began to blur as the pain spread throuout me.

"Take him to the recovery gates, I'm sure he will be fine." I heard Poe grimice before everything went dark.
