Chapter 5

How I picture 2 year old Cherry.

  My mate walks outside. As soon as he is outside he stills. He takes a deep breath in and looks up to the sky. I watch as he digs his bare feet in the grass. Simple things we all take advantage of.

I snuggle little Sage in my arms. The night air is a little chilly. I see Cherry shiver.

  Tim also notices. He looks at his uncle and asks Can I carry Cherry to help keep her warm till we are inside. Jericho nods yes.

Ezra takes off his lab coat and drapes it over Jericho. I glare at him but thank him for helping my mate. Yes Alpha any way I may be of service he says.

Jericho we better get inside. It is chilly outside. Let's get you and the children fed and washed up. Tomorrow after breakfast, the pack meeting and your check up. We then can do anything you would like.

Jericho nods and begins walking again. As we enter people stop and stare at my mate. I walk in front of him guarding him from there eyes. They are all barely clothed.

Tim, Tabby take them to the alpha wing. Get them cleaned up and changed. Show him the rooms they will be in. I will bring up food for them and formula for sage. I hand Sage to Tabby.

Ezra I will see you tomorrow. I will take care of my mate and children. He nods and walks off. Tabby I already mind linked someone to find some clothes and diapers for my mate and children.

Yes, Alpha I will help my uncle Jericho and my little cousins Tabby says. I walk into the kitchen and grab a tray. I put a few assorted sandwiches and coleslaw from the refrigerator on it. I grab some chips, an apple and a few choices of beverages.

One of the Omegas shows me where the formula and bottles are located. Once I have what is needed I head to our wing. I enter and see them all sitting in the open living room area.

The children are clean. Tim and Tabby each have one kid on their lap. I cannot get over how much sage looks like them. I walk in and put the tray of everything on the table in the center of the room.

Tabby where is Jericho, I ask. Still in the shower Alpha. He is probably enjoying a hot shower. I can only imagine the last time he had one. Do not remind me.

My mate walks out about twenty minutes later. He is wearing pajama pants and one of my shirts. I groan he looks good in my clothes.

  I am holding Sage feeding him. I look over to Jericho. There is an assortment of sandwiches and snacks on the table help yourself.

  The nursery is between your current room and mine. I plan on helping you with the children. You are my mate and I plan on us being equals doing this together. He looks at me as if I am crazy.

I am not like the former Alpha of Dark moon. I hope you realize that. He whispers I do. He then grabs a beef and cheddar sandwich with a bag of bbq chips and an orange soda.

Thank you Jericho for giving us a chance. Sage looks so much like Tabby. Of course he does. Sage is their half brother and cousin.

  Their piece of shit dad raped me for a year. Sage is the result. He said I reminded him to much of my sister. He kept me for his self over the last year.

Before that he rented me out to whoever paid him. I have no idea who Cherry's dad is besides a built blond. I growl then bow my head. Jericho whimpers. I am sorry Jericho I did not mean to scare you.

  That was the most I have heard you speak.  I burp Sage then ask Jericho if I can help him put the kids to bed.  He nods and I follow him. 

  After we tuck cherry into bed and put sage in his crib. I walk Jericho to his room.  I am a door away if you need me.  I will try to wake and help with the kids. 

  Goodnight sweetheart. I am going to call my parents. I want to tell them the good news about finding my mate.  They will be so excited to be grandparents.

  I ask him if I can kiss him on the forehead. He nods and leans towards me. I plant a light kiss to his head and wish him sweet dreams. 

  I then walk to the office in the alpha wing. It is at the end of the hall.  It is a mess. Carlos was a pig in more than one way. I sit in the desk chair to call my parents.

  I dial my dads number. He answers hi son how are you?  Dad I found my mate. 

  He is Alpha Carlos' brother in law Jericho.  He is 30 years old and has two children.  He has been imprisoned and raped for the last four years. 

  Carlos was involved in some very disgusting awful things. My mate was one of his many rape victims. He even has a child Sage with him that is three weeks old. Cherry is two. Jericho does not know the father due to Carlos selling Jericho at that time to many buyers. 

Dad he is so handsome. He will need time and my patience. I promised to raise his children as my own. Making you and mom grandparents.

That is great son. We will help you and your mate any way we can. Dad let the elders know that I believe Carlos should be sentenced to death for his crimes.  Will do son. I agree completely.

Dad Jericho will need to get reacclimatized with pack life. Once he is more comfortable with high ranking wolves. I will visit with him and both kids.

  You better son. I know your mom will be excited to be a grandmother. Also that you found your mate.

Take care of your family son. Your mate and children come first then your pack. I know dad you drilled that into me.

I have a lot to prove to Jericho.  I am not an arrogant power hungry Alpha like he is used to. If any one can get through to him and show him the love he deserves it is you Galaxy.

Thank you dad. I am going to tidy up this office a bit, then head to bed. I will keep you updated on how everything is going. I will talk to you soon. I love you dad.

My dad hangs up. I spend the next hour sorting through all the papers scattered on Carlos' old desk. Once I get the top of the desk organized. I call it quits. I better get to bed. I have a busy day tomorrow.

I walk down the hall towards my bedroom. I hear light whimpering. It is coming from my mates room. 

  I put my ear to his door.  He is asleep having nightmares. I quietly open his bedroom door.

  I enter quietly trying not to frighten him.  I whisper his name. He does not respond. He continues to whimper and cry in his sleep.  I walk to the bed and lightly brush my hand through his long soft hair.

  I continue to do this till he settles down and his breathing evens out.  I think he finally fell to sleep without the nightmare.  I start to pull my hand away. I notice Jericho looking at me. Thanks he quietly whispers then rolls over to sleep. 

I kiss his forehead and leave his room. I shut the door to his room.  I check on the kids then go to my room to get ready for bed.  I go to bed feeling relief knowing my touch calms my mate. I pull up my covers and dream of my future with my mate.
