SBI oneshots

vigilante au (part 3)

im having way too much fun writing these but school starts up again next week so the updates will come out slower D: 

i'm gonna do a quick alias-real name thing for anyone who needs it at the end :D

A morning in the SBI apartment was usually laid back but this morning they had a meeting to get to. At 8am sharp. The boys ran around the apartment trying to get ready as fast as possible. The meeting was only a few floors down but it was currently 7:52am, so they were a bit worried. 

"C'mon Wil, we gotta go!" Phil exclaimed standing by the door. 

"It's not my fault Techno took too long in the bathroom!" The musical boy replied.

"These braids don't braid themselves." The pink haired boy muttered  beside Phil. Wilbur emerged from the bathroom and ran to the door, nearly tripping over Techno to put his shoes on. Phil opened the door and the trio rushed into the elevator. 

"I swear to god if this meeting is just some bullshit I will fall asleep in the middle of it." Wilbur complained.

"It'll be over in less than an hour, then you can go back to bed." Phil pressed the 3rd floor button and the elevator whisked away.

"Welcome SBI associates, yes, good morning, thank you for coming." The communications manager stood at the front of the room with another person standing beside them. A famous retired hero, BBH, became communications manager with his side-kick, another retired hero, Diamond. They had an incident a few years back with the number one villain, XD, in which the third member of their hero group, Ant, had been killed. 

"Why did you call this meeting with us Bad?" Techno asked, rubbing his eyes groggily. 

"Yesterday, I got a phone call from Las Nevadas. He has a deal he wants to strike with you." Bad recalled. 

"Jester? He wants to make a deal with us? About what." Phil recognized the leader of the neutral group within Essempi, Jester used to be good friends with Wilbur. 

"I wasn't told what, only that he sent a video explaining his deal. I'll send it to you now. You may discuss it amongst yourselves and get back to me on your answer so I can send it to Jester." Bad grabbed his clipboard from the desk and pulled out his phone. A few seconds later, Phil's phone rang, indicating a message had been sent. 

Phil downloaded the video and pressed play, at this point BBH and Diamond had left the meeting room and it was the trio left in the room. The video started off with Jester adjusting the camera and leaning back in his chair.

"If you're hearing this, I assume you got my message from BBH. I have a deal to offer. In a few days or maybe they've already gone out by the time you hear this,"  Jester's voice trails off into his own thoughts, "Whatever, I heard from my associate that the Dream Team will be sending out invites to an event to all heroes, I want to offer your association my protection. In return, I want all your information on the vigilantes in Essempi." The video cut the black and that was it. Phil put his phone back in his pocket and looked at the two boys.

"What event?" Wilbur spoke up.

"No clue, Jester did say the invites would be going out in the next few days. My question, why would the top villains in Essempi invite all the top heroes to an event?" Phil questioned.

"Obviously a trap." Techno replied.

"Yes, but why would they think it would work?" Wilbur began to pace around the room.
