Rani and Kion woke up at dawn. Kion stretched and shook his mane. Rani just stayed laying down. Kion noticed.
"Hey Rani you ok?" Kion asked. "Kind of, I just miss my family. I like being here, but it isn't the same without them," Rani sighed.
"You want to go back to the Tree Of Life?" Kion asked. "But then I would be away from you," Rani replied. "Nope, because I'd be going with you," Kion smiled. "Really!" Rani shouted. Kion nodded.
Rani hugged him. "When do you want to leave?" Kion asked. "Can we leave now?" Rani asked. "Anything for you," Kion smiled. "Ok, let's go!" Rani ran out.
"Hold on, I need to say goodbye to my family," Kion replied. Rani stopped, "Ok." Kion and Rani walked to Priderock.
Kion said goodbye to his family members, and him and Rani walked away.
Kion and Rani were walking for hours. Rani leaned against Kion's shoulder to help her walk because she was so tired.
They finally arrived at the mountain pass. Rani got all her energy back, and bolted past it. Kion Chuckled and ran with her.
Rani couldn't contain her excitement. She hadn't seen her family in a while, and was super happy.
Kion and Rani walked into the tree. "Mom, dad?" Rani asked. Ananda and Sahasi came into the light. "Rani!" They shouted, and hugged her.
Ananda noticed Kion. "Hi Kion," She smiled. Kion nodded. "Mom, dad, Kion is my mate," Rani said. Ananda was super happy, Sahasi stood there shocked.
Rani nuzzled Kion. "So what brings you here?" Ananda asked. "I missed you guys, and Kion came along with me to see you," Rani explained.
Ananda smiled. "Would you like a place to sleep?" Ananda asked. Rani and Kion nodded. "C'mon Sahasi," Ananda and Sahasi led them to a den to sleep in.
"Thank you," Rani hugged her mom and dad. "Of course sweetheart. We missed you," Sahasi nuzzled her. Kion sat to the side, letting the family get acquainted.
"Hey Kion, can I talk to you," Sahasi asked. "Of course," Kion smiled. He and Sahasi walked out.
"Wonder what they are talking about?" Rani asked. Ananda shrugged. "So how have things been with Kion? Last time we saw you two together, you didn't even want to look at him," Ananda asked.
"Well, it kinda just happened," Rani explained. Ananda nodded. "Well I'm glad you two are together," Ananda smiled. "Me too," Rani replied.
