MASSACRE IN THE MORNING. DEATH EATERS BEHIND THE ATTACK?

Eight dead wizards' bodies found severely mutilated this 6th of February in Diagon Alley. There are no signs of the attackers.

Around two o'clock in the morning earlier this day, an old wizard by the name of Arnold Ergot was looking for his pet cat, Linda, when he hears what seems to be blasts and explosions from behind Ollivander's Wand Shop.

"I was looking for ol' Lindy, ya see?" The witness states at the Ministry of Magic, "It was all silent and then suddenly I heard blasts from behind the shops! Ya should've seen me running for my life after seeing cloaked figures."

When the aurors arrived, they discover eight dead bodies, whose names are still yet to be identified because they were mutilated beyond recognition.

St. Mungos declares after thorough inspection of the bodies that the torturers used "wicked, dark magic".

Aurors assume that the murdered wizards were muggleborns because of the message the attackers left.

Dirty mudbloods thought they had won the war. The war is only just beginning.

The Minister of Magic, Ferguson Zolander, denies that this was done by Death Eaters and the Dark Lord worshippers.

He claims that, "It's probable that these are probable people who want to scare the Wizarding world."

The Wizarding world is not in agreement with the Minister and is in fact, scared.

There are currently no leads whatsoever about the attackers.

What should we make out of the threat?

Why is the Ministry not doing anything?

Where are the people who are supposed to be saving us?

Where is the Chosen One?

Murders like these started around a few month ago and they were frequent ever since. It looks like the dark side is slowly becoming stronger.

Which means Voldemort must have gotten stronger as ever.

Throwing the Daily Prophet aside in frustration, I stood up from the wobbly table to boil some eggs that will serve as my dinner.

I opened my cupboard and grabbed the last two eggs I have. I checked my supplies and saw that they were depleted.

I made a mental note to stop by the market tomorrow. Hopefully, there were still some food left to buy.

Scarcity is rampant these days. Food and water are the number one priority now.

The rich became greedy, using their wealth to buy everything displayed on the market during the rare days that it is stocked.

The poor had to work hard just to put three meager meals for their families everyday.

The Ministry gave free food and sheltered those who are no longer capable of feeding themselves and have no more living relatives in the country.

I was lucky enough that the Ministry offered me a job after finding my brains and wand skills 'astounding'.

Others were not so lucky.

The Weasley's had to take in more than few members from the Order who have lost their homes and needed care.

Mrs. Weasley flustered around them like a mother hen, making sure they were comfortable.
