"holy shit..."

"damn, we didn't even eat yet, what the fuck?"

"that's a solid $20 added to my name..."

the group watches as osamu throws up his guts in a nearby bin.

"anyways, where'd the ladies go?" atsumu asks, already moving on.

"you mean bimbo 1 and 2? atsu they were literally lying to your face, are you that naive?" mei snorts pointing to the girls who were already giving star eyes to some other group of guys. "she said she was at your game last month."

"yeah? that's great, i know."

"man, the season ended three months ago."

his face immediately drops and no one manages to suppress their laughter. atsumu's a good guy, he's just a bit oblivious. it's pretty sad that he's constantly approached by girls like them.

"why didn't you guys say anything?" atsumu groans, kicking a nearby stone in frustration. "i could've married one or something."

"oh trust me, we tried to. you're just slow as fuck," mei continues to make fun of atsumu, enjoying every bit of it. from what i've seen, they seem pretty close. i envy they're friendship. all of them.

i just wish i'd been that lucky in friendship. the only person i could've called a friend was wakatoshi, and that doesn't even count, he's my cousin.

still, i'm glad i met them; tendou especially.

"i'm hungry as shit," deya announces. she dramatically feigns nausea, falling into suna's arms.

"same, you took the words out of my mouth," shan quickly agrees. "i saw a food stall i wanted to try earlier, should we go?"

"sure, baby," semi acquiesces with her request.

"uh, guys," i start. "i need the bathroom, could you get something for me whilst i go?"

"of course. i can't promise you'll like it though."

"you want me to go with you?" tendou smirks, his small wink not passing me.

"shut it redhead, i'll go with her."

"oh, you don't have to, i'll be fine-"

"no, it's okay, i need the bathroom too anyways."

grateful that mei volunteered, i send a smile her way. she seems to be my knight in shining armour today, and i can't help but admire her. she's a really great friend.
