Castiel trudged towards his AP Spanish class, when he saw a tall. Very tall. Guy looking around as if he was lost, and boy did he look like a lost puppy. Castiel was pretty tall himself but this guy he took the prize.

He might've been tall but he didn't look threatening. In fact he seemed to hunch his shoulders so he didn't tower over people as much, like he didn't want to frighten them. Cas approached him he knew what it felt like to feel lost, especially as a new kid.

"Hey, are you lost?" Castiel spoke with a soft smile.

The bigger kid up close had a very boyish complex. His eyes were a pretty hazel color and his hair a light chestnut shade. He smiled at Cas his teeth perfectly straight and almost blindingly white.

"Uh, yeah actually." He smiled sheepishly," Do you know where AP Spanish is?Mr.Franco is the teacher."

"Yeah! That's my next class." Cas smiled back and he could see Sam physically relax.

"You don't mind me walking with you?" He bit his lip.

"Of course not." Cas shrugged and they started towards their class.

"I'm Sam Winchester by the way." He extended a hand for Castiel to shake which he did.

"Castiel Novak." Cas smiled up at him.

"Wow, cool name." Sam seemed genuine so Cas smiled and thanked him.

They walked in silence that surprisingly wasn't awkward. Sam was looking at everything with wide eyes and a grin, Cas thought it was sweet how new everything was to him. Other people in the hall openly stared at Sam, he would smile politely at a couple of them and surprisingly they would smile back.

"Is this your first time in Kansas?" Castiel asked looking up at Sam.

"I was actually born here but my dad moved around a lot for work, so we're back here finally." Sam shoved his hands in his pockets.

"Oh, what does your dad do?" Castiel asked.

"Er, its complicated." Sam avoided the question, "what about you have you lived here all your life?"

"No, I was born in Illinois actually but my parents wanted some peace and quiet." Cas grinned.

"What do your parents do for a living?" Sam bumped into a girl and looked back to apologize to her.

"Oh, my dad is a writer and my mom is a lawyer." Cas made a turn and Sam followed him with long strides.

"Wow, do you have any siblings?" Sam questioned looking at Cas with a raised eyebrow.

"Yeah, I have four older brothers and two older sisters." Cas smiled sheepishly at Sam, "my dad used to be an extreme manwhore."

Sam laughed,"No it's cool..having so many siblings must be an adventure almost everyday."

"It is!" Cas smiled brightly, "what about you do you have a sibling?"

"Yeah just an older brother." Sam followed Cas into the classroom.

"Lucky, just one seems like enough." Sam chuckled and approached the teacher.

Cas waved weakly at him and took his seat at the back of the class. He watched Sam laugh at something the teacher said and then take his seat by Cas who smiled at him once again.

Gabriel rushed into the class just as the bell rang and smiled wickedly at Mr.Franco who glared at him. Gabriel strolled to his seat which was behind Castiel's he ruffled Cas's hair before sitting. Castiel turned around and glared at him, Gabe only laughed digging through his book bag.
