January 24, 2026

As the two respective captains from both worlds begin to introduce themselves, there is a major flaw in this situation.

They don't understand each other.

Captain Midori was confused by the man's words, he was clearly shown to be the captain of this strange metal ship.

He strode forward, eyed at the sight of the strange man. Clad in a sleek fabric, vibrant white uniform, the strange captain stood tall, his attire in stark contrast to his flamboyant naval outfit and huge tricorn hat.

Yet, there were symbols and insignia that spoke of rank and honour, yet their meaning eluded him. The helm that he wore is a simple cap, bereft of plume or crest, but his bearing suggests it holds great significance.

While his bodyguards seem wearing a greyish dirty dotted uniform with black staves. The black staves don't have any blade attached, it could be a magic weapon they possess.

Their sailing flag bears no resemblance from any Kingdom or Empire he recognised from the  First to their own Civilization Area.

'Are they an upstart country that he didn't hear about?' He thought about this group's unknown origin.

Then what is this strange monument, it's massive to be left discovered from their patrol operations.

He was getting troubled by the man's attempts at proper communication. They seem passive and aren't aggressive from the man's body language.

Trying to think of an idea, a solution was formed from my quick problem-solving skills.

I'd asked my bodyguards to bring me a mage or a person proficient with some magic spells.

One of them departed to fetch a magic user. The captain of the metal boats tried to use sign language. He then pointed himself and gave a thumbs up.

Is he telling something about himself?

My bodyguard brought young female communication officers.

"Captain, What's going on?" She asked in a confused manner, being nervous for her sudden presence.

"Do you have a spell to translate this man's words?" I'd asked for her magic powers.

The captain of the metal ship still trying to communicate with us, but still no result. He then changed his focus to my female crewmate with curiosity.

"I could, but I'm not very versed in this style of magic."

"Fine, I give it a chance," I reassured her efforts.

"Yes, Captain, give me a moment to chant the spell."

Her hands began to glow and gather the mana from the air. She began to chant the spell in front of the strangers.

The armed guards from the strange metal boat tensed up and raised their black staves toward me and my crewmates. My bodyguards raised their swords at them ready to retaliate if we got harmed.

The strange captain and I tried to calm down the situation till my communication officer finished her magic spell.

"Captain, the spell is now finished."
