Chishiya walked away after his bold statement and, rather unfortunately, time continued as usual.

The process of finding a place to sleep was never entertaining, instead with passing time it only became more tedious and it's repetitiveness was becoming somewhat aggravating.

However, with the knowledge the King Of Spades was still roaming the streets and his bullets could blast through window panes, finalising a place to sleep had only become more tiresome.

Any place I'd suggested by stores seemed to have been useless, even moving mattresses to the storage rooms were risky if the man wanted to pass through to make his route to surviving players easier The King Of Spades would definitely see us, the second and third floor of any store was a suggestion I'd made repeatedly to Chishiya, however, he'd still seemed skeptical of the idea.

When we'd finally found a place to stay and momentarily call our own I'd felt relieved, I felt famished and debilitated as a result of the exhausting day overrun by the constant sprinting for survival.

The King Of Spades was seriously no joke.

Unfortunately Chishiya, hadn't proved himself any further to me. He'd just been a little more pleasant, glancing to me every now and again, speaking to me more about my past apart from him, simply taking interest in the past of mine he wasn't involved in and it was nice but it hadn't necessarily proved the intense desire he had for me that I so desperately wanted.

The area we settled down in was someone's home, their photographs still remained on the walls and there was something unsettling about the unfortunate speculation that they could be in this world and they could be dead.

Thankfully the house we decided to stay within had been far away from the King Of Spades and Chishiya predicted the route the blimp would take definitely wouldn't go back on itself if it was to reign over Tokyo. So he promised we were safe.

I wondered why we'd never decided to stay in someone's home before because the essentials were already there, thankfully within the house we resided in canned foods seemed to be within every drawer and each cupboard was stuffed with food - The rotted vegetables were easy to dispose of. Furthermore, the basic essentials of bedding and hygiene products would already be within a place someone once called home.

That night I found myself lying awake, as expected, I couldn't particularly wipe the terrors of today away so easily to my dismay because I was sure Chishiya, in the room beside the one I claimed, had already been sleeping soundly forgetting the tribulations of today.

The moment I'd fallen asleep in the small bedroom complete with band posters and schoolbooks I'd only entered a sleep overcome with a nothingness I'd been thankful for, that absolute darkness wrapped up my vision while I slept was the exact consolation I'd needed to escape the memories of my time in this dystopia.

The darkness of my sleep hadn't been haunted by death or gunshots, screams and cries, instead that emptiness had been more comforting than my life was when my eyes were open.

Strangely, my empty dreams had become better than my reality... The darkness of sleep had become something I adored and the life I lived while awake was more like a nightmare than anything my dreams could have conjured.

Therefore, the moment Chishiya woke me up I'd been disappointed to have escaped the darkness and face the sunlight shimmering through the white coloured blinds.

"You should eat quickly I want to talk" Chishiya stated, not giving me all but a moment to adjust my eyes to the scene around me. He'd been seated beside me and shoved a makeshift breakfast of just cereal to my frame still wrapped up in the pink blanket belonging to someone I hadn't known.
