[ITS MY STORY AND I GET TO MAKE HOMOPHOBIA NON EXISTANT IN THIS STORY >:(...]

{Hanzo POV}

I walk around the town of Kamoenai, I haven't been here in so long, scratch that, I haven't been able to look around at all here, as I stated... the only place I really was able to see is the shrine for the Kami's....

The town was well lit up, but no one around, It was kind of risky walking on the road alone, I was barefoot... maybe I should have thought of making shoes... but that's in the past now, I'm not going though that again.

Walking around, this place was modern but at the same time, it's traditional. This town feels safe, It's hard to even believe that this place is infested with... my kind.

I want to stop at all these places, I want to try the humans' food. I know, maybe not as nutritional from humans themselves, but I admire what they do and how they make these kinds of architecture.

I wish some demons could think the same as me. Genji has the same idea, but others... not so much...

I keep a look out for another 5 minutes, trying to find the man, It took me a little he was in front of a store, looking into it, not sure what it was though... food maybe...?

I felt kind of nervous approaching him, what if I looked weird to him. Maybe I looked better as a demon to him... I'll just do it so he won't panic when he realizes I'm not there, I gather up the courage to walk up to him, the only thing I'm worrying about is, 'what will he think of me.'

When I'm close enough, i'm a little nervous but I go for it. I tap his shoulder. "Cassidy..." I manage to say. He looks at me shocked, "Hanzo...?"

I nod, "Yes, Um... I didn't tell you that, I could do this, It's kind of a painful process, I don't favor taking form as a human...."

"Your eyes, they... they look nice." His face gets slightly red, he look away."

"Ah-- thank you."

"Well, care to join me...? I could always use a hand."

I nod

We start walking... the stench of spider lily scent got stronger the more we walked down this street, it irritated my nose, I hated how it smell. I cover my nose. Cassidy notices me.

"We can go down a different street if its annoying you."

"Yes, yes please." an average demon could not tolerate this much of the stench

We make a turn back, it felt better now, it felt like I could breath again.

I looked at Cassidy's arm. What if I held on it, It was a risky move but... it's how people show affection right? Before I can do anything, there was a distressed yell from behind us.

"M-MY CHILD!" An old lady yelled from behind, in front of us, a gust of wind passed us,  A figure running on all fours, with a child in its mouth screaming for her grandmother.

Without thinking I pulled out my bow and shot. I ran after it.

"OBAA-SAN!" The child cried out

The arrow was supposed to send out signals, making it easier to find, I can see now I shot it's eye. It was slowing down now. It hit itself on a tree face first, it let go of the child. it started roaring out in pain.

"DAMNIT." it yelled, the figure had a face of an ox, orange markings all around. I knew who this was, Aku. one of my many brothers who wanted to be like me and Genji.

Aku looked up at me. I can't tell his expression. To be fair... I could never tell his expression.

"Oh you... The golden child of Sojiro-sama, Why are you a human. Stop being something your no-" I stabbed his throat to shut him up, the child will probably find out soon.

"Is Sojiro still alive, Aku."

"Like I'd ever-" I put the arrow deeper into his throat.

"I might let you get back to Sojiro if you tell me right here."

His breath became shaky.

"OK OK! You see-- ah- Sojiro-sama, right, he's-- the full moon, he's coming back at the full moon. Okay? He was- never dead."

"How...?"

"D-DECOY- HEAD- OKAY LET ME GO NOW."

I sliced off his head with ease. I said I MIGHT let him go back... Not that I could.

Now for the child. She looked scared, she was holding her nightdress I got up to her, she was shaking, "Don't worry, I'm good, I'm here to protect."

She had bite marks on her arms.

I rubbed Aku's blood on her, to help her regenerate faster.

"Are you... a demon, he said you were the son of Sojiro..." She asked.

I didn't answer her question, I pretended I didn't hear it.

"I won't tell anyone... Because you are a nice one. You saved me."

"You promise?" I ask.

"Yes!"

"Well, yes... I am, I like to protect others that can't protect themselves."

"YOU ARE LIKE A SAMURAI DEMON!"

I chuckle, "Sure maybe."

I show her the arm, "All better, Demon's have healing blood, that's what helps them regenerate faster."

"Ahh-- Thank you sir, I promise only I know."

I pick her up securing her tightly in my arms. I go up and take Aku's head.

"Ew..." She says.

"I know, he's ugly, he's been always ugly." I laughed.

"Yea he's ugly, But you're not, you're like a beautiful swan." She smiled warmly.

"Thank you, I appreciate it."

In the distance I see a familiar figure running up to us. "Hanzo! Are you okay? Is she okay?" Cassidy's thick accent was recognizable immediately.

"Yes we are both fine, The demon bit her, but she's fine now."

He looks to the girl, "Your grandma is real worried about you, she'll be more than happy to see that you're fine."

The first thing she tells him, "WOW A COWMAN! I ONLY SEE THOSE IN MOVIES." She points happily, "A COWBOY AND A SAMURAI."

Cassidy laughs, "You're too much."

We continue walking out of the dark, gloomy forest back to the town and Cassidy was bombarded with questions

"Do you actually ride horses?"

"How many bad guys have you caught."

It was mostly 'how' 'why' 'do'

Cassidy had the patience of a owl, answering them with details, I think he enjoyed answering them.

Soon enough we see the nervous old woman waiting outside of her shop, Her whole face lit up when she finally saw her grandchild safe.

"OH MY GRANDCHILD!" She hollered, The child jumped out of my arms into hers, She hugged her tightly observing her arms, "Y-You are okay." He said, misty-eyed. "Yes! The demon didn't hurt me!"

The lady looked back at us. "I cannot thank you two enough, Please come to my shop I must gift you for your bravery."

"No, No It's just our job to protect."

The lady shook her head, "I insist." She lead us to her shop down the street. Her shop was full of traditional clothing, Kimono's, Obi's...

"I notice your clothes were all cut up. I wanted to gift you a new outfit, With the hakama and all."

Honestly, I've been wanting to get a new one, this was an opportunity.

"And you, Husband, I want to gift you one as well."

"H-Husband....?" I add.

Cassidy hides his laugh, "Yes, yes you are too kind."
