the woman grumbled as she entered a dvd rental shop.
earlier that day she had decided to spend her free time buying new clothes for the upcoming summer, but they were soon shattered as an employee of the brothel asked her to return a CD.
how could she say no to them? they had helped her find a place for her to stay, it's the least she could do.
the problem was that the shopping center was at the opposite of the rental shop, so she was too lazy to go back and forth.
so there she was.
she walked in the deserted rental, and saw a familiar depressed figure.
"ah. it's you again." she said to the man.
"huh?" to be honest, the man was in a complete daze— he didn't even hear someone walk in!
so when he lifted his head to see a pretty lady smiling at him, he was taken aback.
"oh, uhm??" he stuttered in confusion— did she know him?
"you're that cashier from the convenience store near the station, aren't you? what was your name again.. ah— hanagaki takemitchy!"
he looked at her, sensing a slight familiarity.
"it's um.. takemichi." he mumbled, her eyes widened.
"ah.. takemichi. right.." she said, slightly embarrassed. "so, what're you doing here? got two jobs?"
'she asks a lot of questions..' he thought, sweat dropping.
"oh, i was fired." takemichi said nonchalantly.
"... oh ..that must suck." she said scratching her face, not knowing how to comfort people.
she then remembered the reason she came here for. "right! i have some dvds i'd like to return." she said opening her hand bag.
she gave her the dvd rental card and a stack of dvds.
he then took the dvds and the card and looked at the name. "your name is yamazaki chiharu?" he asked, trying to continue the conversation.
"ah— no! not at all, that's my.. friends name. she just asked me to return her dvds since she couldn't today." she explained.
