-This is bad.- George is walking around his own room, hands in his hair and eyes wide open. He doesn't know what to do.
Today is New Year's and the guests are coming in less than an hour, including ugly Felice. George doesn't have a strategy, why is everything so difficult?
He doesn't want anyone to think he's doing anything, but he wants Felice to know Dream is not interested in her.
George tries to ignore the fact Dream could actually be interested in her and that he's probably damaging his friend's love life without him knowing; he doesn't care. This random ass girl is simply not gonna get with Dream, it's just not happening.
Maybe George does have an idea, potentially a horrible one, but it's still better than nothing.
Reassured, he gets out of his room and goes looking for Dream.

-What?- Dream is surprised, to say the least.
-Think about it, it would be epic! And you know as well as me that they would all fall for it.- They exchange an eloquent look and Dream seems like he's actually considering the offer. George can't believe how far he pushed himself just to make sure Dream doesn't pull anyone, but he's honestly kind of proud of himself for succeeding in such a stupid way.
-Okay, let's say we pretend we're a couple... and then what? We just reveal the prank after midnight?- George obviously didn't think about this, because this isn't a prank at all, but Dream doesn't need to know.
-Well, we can just kind of see what happens, also, are you not curious about everyone's reaction? We can just say it was a joke as the guests leave.- Dream is silent for a couple seconds.
-You're gonna have to be real close to me for it to be believable tho, are you ready for that?-
-Don't act like I'm grossed out by you, I just don't love physical contact in public. With you it's fine.- Dream tries to unsuccessfully hold down a tender smile and George can't help but think there is something fundamentally right about this. About them. Being together.

George is holding Dream's right hand tightly while Dream's thumb is gently caressing his knuckles as they open the front door to let in the house Foolish, Punz, Sylvee and finally, silly little Felice.
This is a lot for George. This is really happening, he's actually doing this, there's no going back now. But George has to admit, at least to that evil tiny person in his head, that Felice's reaction to them holding hands makes everything worth it. Punz and Foolish quickly say hi and just get into the house as it was their own, not really noticing anything weird in Dream and George, while Sylvee spots their hands almost immediately. Her smile radiates happiness and George feels the tiniest hint of guilt for tricking their friend like that. But what matters is the way Felice's face, once lit up by the sight of Dream in real life, is now fading into confusion and sadness. She tries to mask it with a light chuckle and introduces herself, simply waving to George and basically going in for a hug with Dream.
George is stunned, is the girl stupid? He knows she saw their hands, and that's a pretty hard signal to misinterpret.
Dream obviously hugs her back, because he's just that type of person and wouldn't deny a hug to anyone. Meanwhile, George hugs Sylvee with genuine happiness.
-So, this is my friend Felice and she's a big fan of the both of you- states Sylvee once everyone said hi to each other. George mentally rolls his eyes. -But obviously she's here tonight to party!-
-Nice to meet you Felice, me and my friend are glad you joined!- Dream says this as Felice smiles and they both move from the door to the rest of the house, Dream probably showing her around. Sylvee also gets comfortable, apparently not noticing anything weird in Dream's choice of words.
George's reaction isn't quick enough. "Friend"? Friend my ass. What was this? What about their prank?
But George can't make a jealousy scene right now, not with Punz and Foolish jokingly talking with Sylvee on the couch, trying to include him in the conversation; but he just can't focus. A couple minutes pass and Dream and Felice are still out of sight. George decides that's where he draws the line. He gets up and walks the stairs to reach the second floor, where the second living room and their bedrooms are located. Is he showing her their fucking bedrooms?
-Dream?- he calls out before hearing giggles coming from the room at his right. Without even thinking, he just enters the room and observes what's happening.
-Yeah?- Dream turns around, he's alone in the room with Patches, kneeling to better reach her back. She's purring and he's chuckling softly.
-Where is Felice?-
-Oh, she went to the bathroom, I thought she was gonna be back by now.-
He's been up here with Patches. George feels like an absolute idiot.
-Listen, why'd you say I was your friend in front of her?- He just can't stop himself, he has to know.
-Oh- Dream muses for a second before finishing the sentence, -I didn't really think about it, I'm sorry. She was just cute and I reacted how I normally would, I'm sure it's not a big deal tho, she still saw us holding hands.-
-But then you said friend and that basically erased everything!- George realises he sounds dumb but now that he's opening up he's already starting to feel so much better.
-I'm sure it didn't. Listen, I said I'm sorry, it's not like we can kiss in front of her or shit, we'll find out something. It's just a prank.-
-Why not?- George knows he's playing dangerous right now, but everything is worth that charming smile Dream displays at times like this just for him.
-Why not what? You'd be open to kissing me in front of everyone?-
-Just in front of Felice...- George realises his slip a second too late and widens his eyes worried while Dream bursts into laughter.
-Oh no, I got it! I thought you were acting kinda weird but I couldn't exactly point what was happening, but now I do. It was so obvious, you're jealous! You're totally jealous of her!- George really isn't finding this funny, but he's already too deep in this to run away.
-I'm not! It's just that I don't trust her, or anyone from outside our circle, you know that.- And that's not a lie, George has avoided many advances from various people in the last years because of this, and he knows Dream understands what he means.
It is, however, not the full truth, but again, Dream doesn't need to know everything.
Dream's gaze softens, he knows how complicated their love lives have gotten in the last years and understands where George is coming from.
-Okay, I get it. Let's go back to the others.- He reaches for George's hand and he accepts it. They go downstairs to find their three friends (and ugly Felice) sitting and laughing together, all still happily sat on the couch.

They spend a fun night together, even Felice settling in and getting used to the group's dynamics. George and Dream don't really do anything else impressive for the others to notice, but they keep sitting close to each other and sometimes George tilts his head on Dream's shoulder, often while staring at Felice, making sure she notices. Dream doesn't mind. It's not even that far to how they would normally act with each other.
By the end of the night, thirty minutes before midnight, Felice was not acting as cheeky towards them anymore, but George keeps catching her looking at Dream with wide eyes every once in a while. Dream, again, is too distracted discussing about video games with Punz to notice anything. Thank God he's so passionate about stuff, George feels like he could literally give Felice the middle finger right now if he wanted to, and Dream wouldn't bat an eye.
But he won't, 'cause he's nice.
He's so nice that he's gonna make sure things are a 100% clear with Felice once and for all at the tick of the clock at midnight.
Just so he's confident she knows what's going on and doesn't get any ideas.

look who's here🧐, just wanted to clarify that Felice is a completely fictional character and I just used her as a tool to make George snap and actually take some action with Dream, I hope it doesn't look too forced!
Anyways, the first drlog from Antarctica is coming out SO soon and I'm so fricking excited for it. It'd be so cool if it comes out today so let's hope🧍🏻
