Chapter One: The Maze

The Royals & Kingdoms first began once Acho & Kyle arrived. They came out of an elevator in Maze number two. They had been trapped there overnight but managed to find their way out into the clearing, due to the maze door's opening. Everyone soon decided that an establishment, a higher-up, someone who can keep track of the entrances and everyone, especially after all the door's on all four walls had been opened, should be chosen.

Today was the day to take Oeca, our cartographer, back into the maze, to do more mapping. Owen, the Commander of the Guards and Queen Graecies right-hand man, had been waiting for Oeca near the entrance of Maze number 1. Queen Graecie was in charge of that area, while Owen was in charge of the maze & keeping track of who entered. After the election of leaders had been decided between the few members of the two clearings. They split clearing one into four sections.

Graecie's Kingdom is section one, Maze number 1, the Kingdom of Flowers. Rasbi's Kingdom is section two, Maze number 3, the Kingdom of the Inhuman and Forest. Red's Kingdom, Maze number 4, also known as the dark maze, the Kingdom of the Dark & Light. Magic's kingdom, maze number 2, the kingdom of life and the afraid.

"Where is he? He should've been here an hour ago." Owen thought to himself, he had started to hear footsteps coming towards him. Owen figured it was Oeca but it seemed it wasn't, it was a female he didn't recognize. Could it possibly be someone new, he wondered... He was about to speak but the female spoke to him first.

"Uh, hello... By any chance do you happen to know where I am?" The female had finally asked, as she walked closer to Owen. The female had chestnut brown hair and violet eyes that seemed to glimmer in the light.

"Let me guess, you're new? Was there any guard near the elevator?" he guessed as he spoke with a calming voice.

"You're correct, I am new, but yes, there wasn't a guard... I'm guessing there usually is by the sound of it." She spoke again, answering his questions. She soon realized she couldn't remember anything besides her name. "This place, what is it..?".

"The Outsiders, or rather, that's what we like to call this place, newcomer." A male's voice spoke from behind a tree, Oeca emerged from behind it.

"I see, so you're not quite sure... I'm guessing none of you can remember, which makes sense, as I can't either." She assumed, "You're quite smart for someone who's only been here for 5 or so minutes" Oeca presumed.

"I guess I should introduce myself then, my name is Olivia,"she stated. "Welcome to the Outsiders'' Owen had said, welcoming her. Not too long after he pointed her in the direction of Queen Graecie's castle. After some instructions and directions, she started to head off. Owen and Oeca had finally managed to get some time to enter the maze to continue with their work of mapping before sundown.

Owen and Oeca had started to make their way towards where they left off, Owen had gone first incase of any traps being spotted. "I believe this is where we left off" Owen guessed, he stopped and turned to look at Oeca.

"Hold on," Oeca placed his bag near a wall and grabbed a notebook, he handed it to Owen. He was confused, but he opened it and started to look through it.

"What's this?" Owen asked as he still didn't quite get what the book was. It was just random numbers and the words 'wide' or 'length' next to a number. "It's the length and width of each corridor and area of the maze. Written down, or at least what we've slowly mapped out at least".

"I see.. I'll give this to Apo later when I see him." Owen told Oeca in a calming voice. Oeca continued to do his job, as Owen kept track of time. Soon enough it was almost time to go, as he heard a loud bang coming from a corridor nearby.

"Do you think there's someone else here, Owen?" Oeca asked as he was almost done packing up his things. "I'm not sure, but if so, it's most likely a guard with a Royal" Owen was hoping that no one would come in as it was against the rules of all kingdom's. Never go in the maze unless absolutely necessary or said otherwise.

"We should get going, just in case whatever made the sound wasn't human" Owen spoke, as they started to make their way out. As they were walking Oeca spoke "Do you mean 'isn't human', as in a demon or angel?" Owen was silent, he didn't want to answer the question, Oeca decided to break the silence. "There's only monsters that will harm us here, Owen." He clearly already knew the answer to his own question. He knew what Owen was thinking.

Once Owen and Oeca made it out, Queen Graecie and Apo had been standing outside the entrance. "Graecie? What brings you here at this hour?" Oeca commented. "Hello Oeca, it's been awhile since I've seen you" she pointed out but hadn't answered his question.

"Queen Graecie, I'm quite curious as to why you're here, as Oeca had asked, so please answer the question. Why are you here at this hour?" Owen asked, he was a bit confused since Queen Greacie mentioned nothing to him of her arrival. "Please Owen, just call me Graecie." she replied. She was about to answer the question just as Apo interrupted the conversation.

"Graecie and the other kingdoms are setting up a party with a few guards from each kingdom to go in the dark maze, since it still needs to be explored and mapped out." "I suppose the dark maze has to be explored at some point, if we ever do want to leave this place.." Owen responded, turning his attention to Apo. Apo was Owen's best friend and his second in command.

"I'm lost. Why is Apo and Graecie here at this time of day?" Oeca asked as the question was still up in the air. "We knew that you and Owen were going to be in the maze and out before sundown." Queen Graecie answered with a smile on her face, but Owen could see the amount of worry that was seeping through her warm, calming smile. He could see the worry behind her eyes.

"I want myself, Owen, Oeca, Kyle, Queen Magic, Bekymon, Mohwee, Krow, & Ayngel to go in the dark maze, as we all have the most experience in the maze's." Apo suggested.
