Short Lived

One kiss.

One touch of lips to another's

is all needed;

All needed to completely unravel

what one knows of this world;

Of right and disgraceful,

Crime, hate, desire, passion

and everything known in existence.

Mind goes numb;

One, two, three moments of raw passion;

Loss of breath as breath is given

Loss of sensation as feeling is given

And unshed tears trail

down their non-existent path down dry cheeks.

One small moment

is frozen in eternity.

Frozen.

As a child of fear.

And yet no fear here.

Sparks leaping between hearts,

Emotions overwhelm,

and heart flat lines.

Not one word on God's green Earth

can define such a moment as this.

Sparks blossom; fireworks bloom,

expanding one's chest to the breaking point

and broken in two becomes one's heart.

A lost cause; As a child

abandoned at a train station.

Passersby stare, mind numbs, emotions falter.

And these fireworks become spent

and sputter into lifelessness.

Before long, this spark is no more.

Cold flames lick at one's tongue.

Comfort is found in

deceit, lies, and frustration;

The touch of one's lips to yet another's:

One kiss
