By the end of the week, Estell had learned simple attacks and defenses. She was learning how to "Enterlean'' when she suddenly spotted her father in the corner of her eye. She signaled to her teacher and looked over the fence to where her father was standing. He was talking to a man that was wearing a suit and dress pants, paired with a gold molecule that sparkled in the sun. Estelle's father seemed to be a little annoyed and the man looked like he was in front of a hungry tiger. Estell understood that her father was intimidating, but never like hungry tiger intimidating. Maybe it's because he's a bit mad, thought Estelle as she returned to her lesson. "Your arms have to be bent, then you tightly grip the handle, jump, then you swing." "Like this?" Estell leaped into the air and swung her sword. Her teacher blocked her attack with one swift movement of his arm. "Yes. Again, with the force in your arms, not the sword." By the end of the day, Estelle was exhausted. She was doodling in her sketchbook when she was called to dine. "Father, who was that man you were talking to?" "He was a merchant." "Did you buy anything from him?" "Yes." "What did you buy?" "New uniforms." "For wh-" "The guards." "Then why were you mad?" "I wasn't mad" "Then why was the merchant so scared?" "I don't know." Really? Was this man crazy? Maybe he doesn't know he's intimidating, thought Estelle as she finished her meal. That night, Estelle lay awake in bed, and reality sank its fangs into her. If father is the king, won't I have to inherit his title? Estelle had read about this government in books, though now that she was experiencing it firsthand, it seemed a lot more complicated. I'm his only daughter too... Estell decided she would ask her tutor about this tomorrow.
