Chapter 20: Why?

Izuku is standing in front of Aziawa while Touya and Midnight are sitting on the other couch in silence. Aziawa doesn't know what to say first. He wants to break the silence because it is unbearable, but he can't because he doesn't want to get punched in the face again by Midnight who is staring at him. Minutes later, Mei came into the living room with an ice pack and handed it to Aziawa. Aziawa thanked Mei for the ice pack and Mei made her way upstairs along with Eri.

*Flashback*

They all stopped walking towards the house as they saw Aziawa sitting in the car. "What do you want?" Izuku asked. "I just want to talk to you...please. I know I have messed up and it is too late to fix things between us, but I want to try...so please," Aziawa replied. Izuku looked at the others and sighed. "...Fine, but you only have 30 minutes to talk. Once you walk into the house, the timer starts," Izuku said.

Aziawa got out of the car and as soon as he stepped foot out of his car he was met by Midnight's fist. He was knocked down to the ground and Midnight proceeded to punch him. Touya and Mei quickly grabbed Midnight and pulled her off of Aizawa. "Let me go! Let me go!" Midnight yelled. Touya picked Midnight by her shoulders while Mei picked her up from her feet. They both walked to the door and opened it up while pulling Midnight into the house. As they were going in, Midnight kept grabbing the side of the door, but they managed to get her in the house.

*End of flashback*

Aziawa looked at everyone in the room while thinking of something to start off the conversation. "Time is ticking, start talking," Touya said. "...Hey, um, how was your day?" Aizawa asked. "It was good until you called earlier this morning, I ran into your students and they were harassing me for something I didn't do, and you showed up in front of my house and waited for us to come," Izuku replied. "What did my class do?" Aziawa asked. "Well, the Bakugo twins decided to lie to the class about me bullying them and using my quirk on them when in reality they were the ones who did that, and they were the ones who used their quirks on me. Because they told their classmates that lie, they thought it was a good idea to confront me while I was tired and upset for the past three days," Izuku replied. "I'm sorry for what they did, I will go talk to them," Aziawa said. "Please, I bet you will probably join them too," Izuku said. "I won't," Aziawa said. "How will I know? You have done many things I thought you would never do, but you surprise me everytime," Izuku asked. "...You just gotta trust me," Aziawa replied. "Trust is something you have lost the day you started to ignore me," Izuku said. "Give me another chance to redeem myself, please, just one," Aziawa asked. "Izuku has given you a lot of chances back to back, but you ruin your chances every time. Even though you lost his trust, you still had his love. He gave you one more chance with that and that is when you stepped into his room after many years of not talking to him, and got angry at him. You even slapped him just because what he was saying were facts. Now you don't have his trust, love, loyalty, and respect. You may see him as your son now, but he sees you as a stranger. If you want someone's trust and by your side that is bad, go to your other son you found by the dumpster," Touya said as got up from his chair and headed to the staircase. "I know I've messed up, but I am here to change. I am trying to get back to the way we were before Shinso. I am trying to be your father, but I can't do that if you keep pushing me away," Aziawa said. "I don't want you as my father. Everything you have done gave me an impression upon other fathers. If fathers ignore, neglect, and do not care for their children then I don't want one," Izuku said.

Aziawa was hurt by Izuku's words. With him thinking that what a father does makes him feel bad. Not wanting a father makes him feel guilty through every blood stream in his body. Izuku turned his back away from Aziawa and headed to his room. "Where are you going?" Aizawa asked. "I am going to my room and your time is done," Izuku replied. "I still have things to talk to yo-" "Look, it is clear that he doesn't want to talk to you, so leave him alone," Touya said from his room and watched from the top of the staircase. "Just give me five more minutes," Aziawa said. "Do you want to get beaten again for five minutes and not talk to him or do you want to walk out of this house safely?" Midnight asked. "Why are you doing this? You are not his guardian so why are you acting like one?" Aziawa yelled.
