It had officially been about 5 months since you start working at Per Se and you absolutely loved it. Your coworkers were all very welcoming and, because of your experience, everything about your job felt like second nature. The only thing you weren't expecting was that every customer was super friendly. It was the beginning of the night and your shift had just started. You got dressed in the locker rooms, and walked to your first table of the day.
"I haven't seen you here before, are you new?" A beautiful, ginger-haired woman looked up at you. You knew exactly who it was. It was Jessica Chastain, and across from her was Emily Blunt.
You smiled politely and then said, "Yes, ma'am . I am."
She gently waved her hand. "No need to call me that. I'm Jessica." (jessica chastain yasss)
"Well, it's very nice to meet you, Jessica." You were setting her drink down along with another for the person across from her.
"This is Emily." (emily blunt yasss)
The blonde woman spoke in a calm voice. "Hi."
She smiled with her greeting and lifted up her hand, gently waving."Nice to meet you, too. I love your accent."
Emily thanked you, and then you took their orders and went about your way.
Obviously you pretended not to know who they were. You came across many celebrities when working, but you didn't want to annoy them and ruin their dining experience. You did love Jessica though, and you have always adored her and Emily's work. So, you were thinking about saying something, but you were afraid to risk it. They are new, you've just met them, and by the looks of it, Jessica was a regular. You decided to just push it off.
"Hey, isn't that Jessica Chastain?" Your coworker, Ellie looked at you. Let's just say she's pretty much your work wife.
"Yeah, it is."
"Oh my god, I love her."
"God, I know." You rolled her eyes, jokingly of course, as you were getting drinks for your table. You walked off with the two drinks in your hands, putting on your friendliest smile.
You set down the drinks as a huge party of people came in. About 15 or so. They were seated in your section and all you could think was "Holy shit. How am I going to do this?" You decided to think about it after you took Jessica and Emily's order, so that's exactly what you did. You remained professional. You could do this. Definitely.
Once they had all been seated, you walked over, notepad in hand, and stood at the end of their table.
"Hello everybody! Welcome to Per Se. My name is y/n and I'll be your server today. Can I get you guys started with some drinks?" You wrote down the orders and when to the bar to make all of them. You placed them all on a tray, lifted it up, and you were on your way.
"God, this is really heavy," you thought to yourself. "Don't drop it, don't drop it." You placed the tray down on an empty table and grabbed two drinks at a time, to place them in front of the person who ordered them. Eventually, you were at your last couple of drinks and all you could feel was relief. It was going so well until suddenly you felt the last glass of white wine get lighter.
The blonde woman you were standing over was basically drenched from neck down. Panic was all over your face and all you could feel was such embarrassment.
"Oh my god, I am so sorry, Miss." You handed her an extra napkin from an empty table.
She took the napkin from your hands. "It's okay. Really."
"God, I feel awful. I have an extra shirt in my locker, let me go grab it for you."
"It's alright. It's not a big deal."
"I insist." You walked away, heading to the locker room while trying to hide your face. You quickly grabbed the black crop top you kept in your locker, for emergencies, made sure it didn't smell, and then walked back out there with a brave face.
"Here you are, Miss. I am so sorry again. Your meal will be free of charge tonight." You handed her the shirt.
"It's okay, really. Thank you for the shirt. I really appreciate it," the woman said as she stood up and pushed her chair in. Her pleasant smile lifted a bit of pressure and embarrassment off of you. She started walking off to the bathroom. You then, looked at the rest of the table and asked for their orders. You started from the other end just trying to get away from the chair you had just dried in front of everyone. Soon enough, you got to a light-brown haired woman who looked very familiar. "Probably just one of Ayva's celebrities again," you thought, internally rolling your eyes.
"Hey, honey. She really didn't mind, she knows you didn't mean to spill." The woman spoke in a soft, sweet voice.
You softly smiled saying, "Thank you."
"Of course." You took her order and then the rest of the guests'. The blonde woman came back with your shirt on and hers in her hand. Damn, she looks great in your shirt. You took hers and then went to put the orders in. You grabbed her another drink, along with Jessica and Emily's food. You dropped off the woman's drink first and then the food.
"Thank you, y/n," Jess said. "It was really nice of you to give her your shirt."
"Yeah, I've never seen anyone do that before." Emily added, smiling.
"Wait, so that happens often?"
"Not often. But, it's not like it hasn't happened before.
"That's true." You smiled at the two of them. "Enjoy your food, guys. I'll be back later to check in. If you need anything, let me know."
"Thank you!"
