for when the people from that 1 place see this: hello :3

My eyelids ached in exhaustion as I examined the box in front of me. I had stayed up for several days trying to get it to activate. Epics take way too long to breed and hatch...Thankfully, some acquaintances of mine had been lighting my wishing torches for the past few days, though it didn't make it much more bearable. The chill of the harsh winds made me shiver out of my thoughts, and I cautiously approached the box.

Well, it wasn't really a box. It seemed more like a garage or warehouse. It looked just like it did in my monster identification books and as it did online. I admired the gleam of the box's side pillars as the light caught it. I stepped closer, trembling as I did so. This box wasn't the only thing I studied up on. I knew from my research that this Wubbox had a terrifying scream. And although it sounded great, and wasn't necessarily hostile, I still remained cautious and petrified. Coming closer, I noticed the box was engraved with the word "Wub" in Monstrous. (the alphabet) Readying myself to run, I pushed the big yellow button.

The button was sticky, but I didn't pay attention to that. In my frantic backpedaling, I saw the Wubbox come to life.
It was beautiful. From its golden/silver palette to its aviator hat, from its transparent wings to its...Talons? Seeing it in person was so astonishing that I had forgotten about its scream.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE."
Okay what the hell. I shrieked like a little girl, but immediately forced myself to calm down. As it lowered its head, it smiled playfully at me, almost as if it relished its frightfulness. Its smirk caused me to laugh a little, and I didn't even flinch the next time it screamed. It felt good having my fear cease because I had always taken a liking to this Wubbox while in my research. I'd have liked to get along with it.

Speaking of that, this thing could easily kill me so I'd better show it some respect. I shrank back, trying to make myself look as harmless as possible, even topping it off with a timid smile and a soft-spoken "pwease dont kill me..." I think it worked, because the Wubbox's lively expression immediately changed into a confused frown. It even snorted, or at least I think it was a snort.

Okay, I think it thinks less of me now. It probably noticed me blushing in embarrassment; it had lifted its rounded arm to its mouth to cover its distorted laugh. It then spoke in a voice so gargled I could hardly understand.
"Bahahaha! It's alright, why would I do that? You powered me up for Galvana's sake!" Alright. At least I know my life isn't in AS MUCH danger. It could probably still kill me accidentally. Still, I covered my face in shame.

"Your hands are shaking." Were they? I thought I had stopped. "Am I really that scary to you guys?" I looked up, noticing the Wubbox that towered above me now had...A frown? Well, I fucked up.
"N-No! I just...You're not THAT scary! You just happen to be more than twice the size of me...And have a loud scream...and have wings lined with spikes..." Its eyelids started to droop. I wasn't making this any better. "But that just makes you cooler! Being scary isn't a bad thing. Also, I can easily tell from all my research that you're my favorite Wubbox." One of its eyebrows raised, as if to ask..."Yes, really! Not only do you sound fricking awesome, but your design, it's like..." My description was cut off by a soft, well, as soft as you can get with that gargle synth, laugh.

"Well I haven't heard an opinion like that in a while!" Its cheerful smile had returned, and I think it respected me again. The Wubbox was right; everywhere I went online while researching there was hate for it. My curiosity returned, and I started examining it up close again. It turned its head to look at me as my gaze flitted across its unique form.

My attention was especially drawn to its wings and the insignia on them. "I've seen videos of other Wubboxes flying..." I whispered to myself. "Hey, uh, can I call you Air?" It nodded. "Would you mind flying for a little while? I'd like to see it with my own eyes..." Air took some time to think for a while before another toothy smile appeared on its face.

"That gives me an idea..." It murmured before lifting me up without warning. I obviously shrieked again as it giggled again in response. I found myself facing its poorly held back smile. Ok, it's probably over for me now. It'll probably vore me or something and I'll meet my demise. But to my surprise, it simply draped me over its shoulder. Scrambling to latch on, I felt its wings begin to flutter. It thrust itself into the air before I could even get a solid grip. Unsurprisingly, I shrieked AGAIN. It snickered before shifting its angle and changing its pace. I could sit almost comfortably on its back now. Almost, because of the absolutely terrifying speed we were flying at.

"This'll show you a view..." Air said triumphantly.
Well it wasn't wrong. Air Island looked beautiful from this angle. Faint rainbows painted the sky and balloons dotted the landscape. I took off my mini backpack and took out my journal. Despite my quivering hands, I began to write some observations.

It seems, to be compatible with flight, Air is smaller than other Wubboxes
Box is engraved with the word 'Wub'
Box button is sticky
Air is playful and friendly...f

My train of thought was interrupted by the sudden change of pace. Air had gently landed on a cloud...Wait, you can walk on these clouds? I hopped off and landed on the cloud with a gentle bounce. I immediately fell over, dizzy from the sudden change in speed. Air instantly checked to make sure I was okay. I smiled at it, but it must have finally noticed the god damn vantablack bags under my eyes from the several days worth of sleep deprivation.

"Are you alright? You've been acting a little disoriented this whole time..."
"Yeah, I stayed up for like a week trying to power you on!" I began picking up my journal and backpack, which were dropped on the cloud when I fell over.
"No way, really?! You could've died from that!!" I couldn't help but giggle at its response. It was probably right, but I couldn't help my curiosity. But, as the excitement of activating a new Wubbox fizzled out, my body started to hurt once more. Not just my eyelids, but my eyes, head, and pretty much everything else. I sighed discontentedly.

"I wonder if these clouds can be slept on?" Might as well find out. I'm already falling asleep just sitting down. I lay down, faintly paying attention to some sort of animal flying distantly above me, or maybe it was a monster, or maybe...Before I know it, I'm immediately knocked out.
