Ok. sorry for the lack of chapters. i stopped posting as much because lack of ideas, not feeling good, and just not wanting to write. for this chapter i combined 2 together which is why its longer than most of the other chapters. most of this is just filler and world building but there is plot progression in here. the only reason i wrote this chapter is because i realized the season of love is actually coming out soon and i wanted to write something for it on time.
here are references in case youre confused.

I was jolted into consciousness by an earsplitting screech. Still disoriented, I tried to roll up in my blanket to defend myself from whatever was screaming at me, only to realize that it was Air. With his classic smirk. Shaking off irritation, I noted that this was the second time I've woken up nonpeacefully this week, as it had been a few days since that nightmare incident. I had asked Air to wake me up early last night as I knew I'd sleep in if he didn't.

I had specifically asked him not to yell. Air apologized, saying he couldn't help it when out of nowhere its left arm slid off. I flinched before remembering that it happens to Wubboxes sometimes. I lifted the fallen arm, overestimating how heavy it would be. I slid it back onto exposed electricity. It didn't shock me as much as I thought it would. The arm promptly slid off as soon as I slid it back on.

"Ugh.."
Air simply chuckled. "You can't just put it back on, silly! I thought you were an expert in this!"
I frowned. "It was just an attempt for a quick fix..." My sleepiness started to ease away.
"Well, let's head over to that stockpile."
"Okay, just let me get ready first."
Well, this was kinda annoying. We were planning to spend the day decorating for the Season of Love since it was coming in a few days, but whatever. It was just a little setback. I went ahead and got ready.

Soon, we made our way out the castle. I trailed behind Air as we ran over to the Wubbox Stockpile. My eyes skimmed over the collection of spare parts, and I hauled out an arm. I came closer to Air, and the arm slipped out of my hand and was drawn onto his arm like a strong magnet. I marveled at what just happened and noted to myself to write it down when Air's new arm started to spasm.

Its eyes lit up as he screeched, was I hearing pain in it? And I heard a familiar mechanical sound as a part of its...Palm? Unfurled on itself and something like claws or talons shot out from them. I froze in bewilderment and amazement. First of all, that slide out looked so cool. Second of all I'VE NEVER SEEN ANY RECORD OF EPIC AIR WUBBOXES HAVING CLAWS!! Its claws slid unpredictably, in and out. Eventually, Air's new arm stopped convulsing, and he stayed still in shock.
"Omg, (mf literally spelled out omg) you have talons?? Or, uh...Claws?? That's so cool!! Why didn't you show me?" He looked at me with an embarrassed look on his face. He looked somewhat confused for some reason, but mostly embarrassed.
"I...try to keep them a secret...In case it would make others even more scared...I promise they're only used for self defense and grabbing things..." He fidgeted with his hands as he explained. "I'm glad you at least like them..."
"Of course I do! And you don't have to worry about anybody being scared. If I've come to my senses about it I'm sure they have too." Now that my amazement was wearing off, I wondered what the hell just happened. "But why was your arm convulsing?"
"I'm pretty sure the arm was just getting used to electricity...It didn't hurt or anything." That was relieving.
"Alright, well, we have to get to work now...I'll go tell all the monsters."

The work wasn't too bad. It was actually pretty fun. All of the monsters had decided to help out, placing big versions of those tooth ache causing heart candies and some roses around the island's border. All of the flying monsters had helped replace the glassy looking balloons in the sky with actual heart shaped ones. I helped too, and Air held me up while doing some decorations in case I fell. All while enjoying the nice breeze of the formerly desolate island. We were all taking a break when I overheard Pompom's iconic squeal. Intrigued, I decided to check it out.

Air and Pompom were standing beside a Beeyoot Tree, Air with a somewhat distressed expression on his face. Concerned, I strained to hear.

"Be quiet...!!" Air said in a nervous tone. "They might hear us..." ...What was going on? Was something bad happening? "I don't know why, but...I just came to the realization..." I couldn't make out what he said next, but whatever it was, Pompom must have found it hilarious. She was literally fucking hopping and bouncing around.
"Omg, omg!!" She was also literally spelling out omg.
"Calm down!! ...I just...They're so nice...No one's ever been-"
"Well, I think you have a chance!!" My concern grew. Did she really cut him off like that? "After all, remember what we saw a few days ago?" I stepped closer, wanting to see what this was all about. Pompom's eyes widened when she saw me, and she covered her mouth and signaled to Air.
Air reluctantly turned his head around, and swiftly turned back—presumably to give Pompom a glare—and turned back.

"H-Hi, YN!" Hm. There was that steamy feeling in the air I had noticed a handful of days ago.
"I'm really sorry if I was interrupting anything but I overheard some stuff and I'm kinda concerned." Pompom looked like she was about to fucking erupt. "Should I be worried?"
"No...There's nothing to worry about." Air's voice was unusually timid. Pompom just started fucking screaming. Air frowned and looked towards her. She was still losing it. "What is so funny?"

Ok, that was enough. I just left. I didn't even want to know what they were talking about and I wanted to forget it as soon as possible for both of our sakes. Hopefully going back to decorating would take my mind off it.
