4 | realization?

shoutout to @bugslugz for the idea for this chapter. would not have known what to write if it werent for them

also im sorry my writing keeps degrading my writing is only good when im having a breakdown/attack Im trying really hard ok.

also sorry for taking so long on this chapter!! im working on another msm story. ill link it here when i finish the chapters i want it to release with. also thanks for the comments and votes and support! and sorry for the short chapter this is kind of hard to write 14 paragraphs about like i did chapter 1

"Wooah, YN! You're a lot more smarter than you seem..." Pompom chirped, examining the dozens of inferences and references written around the monster diagrams.
"Uhh. Was that supposed to be a compliment?" I retorted.
"Oh, oops! I didn't mean it that way!" Pompom gingerly replied.
"Hold on, is that me?" Air asked, flipping a page. It was observing the Wubboxes section of my biology book. Illustrations were sprawled on both pages of all its forms. Suddenly, its eyes widened. "Wait, WHAT?" Pompom looked over as well. It covered its mouth with a pompom, unable to hold back its laughter.
"Oh my god!"

Worried, I came over to see what they were gawking at. My jaw instantly dropped too. They were looking at a comment I wrote next to Air's active form.

FUCK. Okay. I tried to cover my blush. How was I gonna explain this? My thoughts were being obscured by Pompom's howling. "Did I actually predict your guys's love?" I looked over to Air with an ashamed look. It seemed equally ashamed. For some reason, I could feel the air getting a little steamier. I collected my thoughts.
"L-Listen...I meant your design, okay? I just really like aviator hats." I couldn't tell what its expression meant. Was it angry? Or was it giving me a knowing look? Or both? "And wings...And goggles..." Air's mouth started to form into a smile. My feeling of dread finally faded.

"Heh, everybody loves my fashion sense. My voice not so much." It commented nonchalantly, flipping a page. "What even are these captions? 'Jumpscare'? 'Oh hell no'?" It was inspecting the comments I wrote on the Epic Water and Earth Wubboxes.
"Bro look at Earth's mouth!! You'd like melt to death if you got close to it of course it's a oh hell no!!"
"Okay, true."

Just then, an alarm on my phone went off. I pulled my phone out and read the message attached.
"Oh, nice, my Shellbeat is done breeding," I slowly got to my feet. "I'll be back in a sec guys." I pulled out my teleporter and le epically swooshed away to Water Island.
That situation was super silly. Did Pompom actually think I liked Air? It's basically a robot! That would just be absurd, right?
