It has been two weeks since Sakura and Kakashi met at the bar and after that night, she hadn't even seen a shadow that looks like him. She heard from Naruto when they met for training that Kakashi took off a B-ranked mission alone. A part of her felt guilty for what she did at the bar, although alcohol was partially to blame for. She was also ashamed for touching herself thinking of him and so refrained her hands from going down there as some sort of a self-punishment. She didn't think about sex nor Kakashi nor his veiny pulsating cock. At least she tried not to. One can't just forget the memories of mind blowing sex like it was a friendly chat with an attractive man on Sunday evenings at the bar. It gets even harder when her dreams become lewd and the images of one particular man keep replaying in her head. There is no escaping it.
Nonetheless, Sakura pushed down every distracting thoughts about Kakashi and cooled her emotions as best as she can by engaging herself with hospital work every day. She worked twice harder, kept her mind busy with research, developing new medical jutsus, reading old journals, and focused on saving lives and healing the injured as a medic nin should be.
The line is not to be crossed again, she reminded herself everyday. One morning, Sakura was ready to go home after a long night shift at the hospital. It was a very early time of the day and she decided to grab a coffee before she heads home. On her way to cafeteria, a nurse ran up to her and said,
"Sakura-san, there's a patient in room 208 that needs immediate attention."
"New patient?"
"Yes. A shinobi. Just returned from mission."
"Not in emergency state I suppose?" Sakura asked, because otherwise that patient should be in the room where emergency patients are taken care of.
"No. But the patient has lost a lot of blood."
Sakura nodded, "Alright. I'll go there right now." Then, abandoning the idea of grabbing coffee, she quickly made her way to the second floor of the building.
When Sakura entered room 208, she stood dumbfounded for a moment at the sight of Kakashi sitting on the bed. She didn't expect to see him and apparently, neither did he as his eyes slightly widened with surprise. Seconds passed and both said nothing or move an inch. The door was still open and her hand was still on the knob.
Sakura recovered quickly and closed the door behind her quietly before making her way to the said injured Shinobi. As her senses came back to her, she felt tight in her chest, also sad and angry. Since the war was over, Kakashi never let any medic touch his body or do checkups. When he was wounded or had any issues with health, he always sneaked into her office or her house and let her take care of him. He always said he trusts her with his body and he wouldn't bother going to hospital when his student is the best medic in the world. But now, he's deliberately avoiding her to a point where he doesn't even want to allow her touch his body for professional reasons.
Swallowing her anger and hurt feelings, she came near and stood beside the bed in silence As a medic, she couldn't just walk away from him when they're already in the same room. He's still looking at her and seemed finding a word to say but none came out. His whole body was covered in small cuts and bruises, and there was a large wound on his back."Sakura," he called her name gently.
"I need to stop the bleeding," she cut him off and without another word, she worked to fix the damaged blood vessels so as not lo lose more blood from the body. Kakashi moved to face the wall on his left so she could heal him at a better angle and during the process, he didn't attempt to talk to her again.
When the vessels have been repaired, she walked to a cupboard where the antiseptics are stored to take a tray, fresh clothes, cotton balls, and other items required for disinfection.
