The Unlikely Heroes

Chapter 4

This channel (the channel is called BTS, the band Jimin is in) was decorated very elaborately. There were a few disco balls, a sound system, and streamers, not to mention the crowd. Lots of people were scrolling and clicking on videos. No one paid any attention to Bob, Jimin, Fear, Beluga, or Help. Which, in their situation, was a good thing.

"How about we click on a video?" Jimin suggested.

Help debated whether or not they should.

"Well, maybe for a few minutes," Help said reluctantly.

"Yes!" Jimin exclaimed.

He ran up to a video called "Burning Up (Fire)." Everyone clicked on the video at the same time and poof! They were in.

It was like a movie theater, but better. You sat in seats but moved around with the band. For example, if one member were in the shot, you'd follow them around. It's like you're really there, Jimin thought. Suddenly, everyone noticed that Jimin wasn't in the video.

"Why isn't he in the video?" Fear asked.

"Because he's sitting right here next to us," Help said.

"So, he has to go up and dance in the video?" Bob wondered. "Can viewers not see him right now?"

Help explained that because Jimin was sitting there watching his own video in that setting, no viewer could see him.

"Do I have to go up and dance now?" Jimin asked Help.

"Does he?" Beluga joined in.

"Hmmm...," Help said wisely. "Yes, he does."

"Alright. I'll do it," Jimin said and walked toward the video.

Then something strange happened. Once Jimin had crossed into the video, the video automatically changed his outfit. Now he was in the clothes he wore for the filming of the video. He darted to his spot and danced to the song flawlessly.

After the song was done, Jimin slipped back to the group.

"Let's get out so they don't think it's a permanent glitch," Jimin said softly.

The five exited the theater, via a door. After that, they filed into the long hall of channels. This seems like it'd take forever to find a channel, Bob thought.

"What did you guys think of the song?" Jimin asked breathlessly.

They hesitated.

"It was good, in my opinion," Fear told Jimin.

"Thanks. Am I wrong to assume that there are mixed thoughts about the song?" Jimin said with a grin.

At this, Beluga, Help, and Bob shook their heads. That's ok. Not everyone likes that song, Jimin thought.

"Uh, Jimin? Did you have pockets before? Or a jacket?" Beluga asked.

Jimin, along with everyone else, noticed he was still wearing his outfit from the video.

"I do now," Jimin said.

With that, they walked up the hall past the As and towards the door. Fear looked back for a moment to see a few people just pop. They must be going offline, Fear assumed. Then, they walked through the door to the room behind it.

Once back in the empty room, everyone readied their selves for travel. Help turned the dial as usual and they were traveling, their destination unknown.

When they landed, they all started exploring. The room was a sort of small house. If you went down the hallway and took the first right, you'd be in the bathroom. To the left, there were a few closets. On the second left, there was a mini kitchen and a table (that sat five people). Opposite, there was a lounge sort of space. At the very end of the hallway, there were bedrooms. It was perfect!

"This is amazing!" Beluga said in awe. "It's like it knows exactly what we need."

"That's because it does," Help supplied.

They stared at him skeptically.

"This isn't like a house, it's actually a room."

"Um, ok?" Bob replied. "I still don't get it."

Beluga, Fear, and Jimin nodded their agreement.

"Well, you see, this place is called the Room of Requirement," Help explained. "It'll give you anything you need! And I really hope it gives us food."

"The Room of Requirement?" Fear said. "I like that!"

"But where exactly are we?" Jimin asked.

Help looked like he had been waiting for them to ask.

"Welcome to Hogwarts, school of witchcraft and wizardry!"
