The Forest

The Assigned One Part 2

As I arrived at New York Police District or
NYPD, I waved at Rita our hot information girl who is 27 years old. Everybody was waving at each other including me as I make my way to the detectives office.
"Heeeey! Roby!" My partner Bob greeted me excageratedly.
"Now. Whats the problem." I said .
"Jack's callin' ya, he wants to have a word with ya." Bob said slangly.
"That's where I'm going."
I said while making my way through Jack's office.
While making my way, I peeked into his window and saw him, playing the most annoying game ever made. Flappy Bird, I saw him being annoyed trying to beat his high score of 15, then saw him raising his hand attempting to throw his phone because of that stupid game, then quickly I knocked to stop him and to save his phone.
"Come in." He said calmly.
"Well, how's your game?" I said trying to annoy him.
"Tch! Just shut up about it!" He said annoyingly while I laugh.
"So. What is the reason of me being here?" I said
He threw a top secret file in his table just in front of me. I took it and opened it.
"The last 4 days, there was a murder case in Arizona a near forest."
I opened and turn the pages while Jack is explaning.
"A hiker was walking in that forest when he suddenly saw a dead man laying in a rock. In his fright he ran and got out of the forest."
"What is this forest?" I asked
"Whiteriver Medicine Forest. They say screams and cries can be heard from here and it's also one of the haunted places in Arizona." He said
"Wait. I thought you sent a class 2 detective right ahead after the report?" I asked.
"Yes we did." He said
"What happened?" I asked again
"He NEVER came back, we sent a band of police and K-9 units but there was nothing."
Hearing those things frightened me and repeated all of it in my head.
"So what are we going to do?" I said
"I want you to go there." He said "Find the hiker. Micheal Red, investigate the forest and tell me information you got."
