Shin Asakura x Lu Shaotang: A problematic vacation

Chapter 3

Because the manga doesn't mention any of these names, I will just make them up:

Lu Huang = Lu's triad

Lu Cangtang = Lu's grandfather

Lu Baotang = Lu's father

Lu Meitang = Lu's mother

"Glad to see you again, old man. Since the Lu Huang triad loses its head it seems to be weaker than before."

"The kids may be weak, but this old body still can beat you to death."

"You may, yet we have defeated almost everyone in your gang, it is just a matter of time for the survivors and the consigliere to surrender."

"You mean to escape?", Wutang appears from behind the attacker, "I won't die that easily before seeing my adorable Mistress for the last time."

"You mean Lu Shaotang is still alive? Interesting, I always want to fight with the Lu Mistress."

"As if we let you have a chance to do so, move aside Wutang, let me deal with this brat."

"Be careful, you are drunk, I'm afraid you can't handle more alcohol."

The next morning, while Lu is happily preparing for herself, a call from Shin interrupts her:

"What are you doing, we have been downstair already."

"Why so rushed, just a few minutes more, I told you girl needs time to prepare."

"There are some suspicious-looking black cars at the front, is that from the triad?"

"Whoa, they have arrived? I will be there right now!"

After 10 minutes in the car (which they mostly spend looking at the scenery outside in awkward silence), Lu finally starts the conversation:

"So what actually happened yesterday?"

"I'm sorry Mistress, but Sir Wutang told me not to tell you anything. He doesn't want you to worry."

"Ignore that bastard, I'm still an ex-member you know, spit it out."

"... The Feng Kuang has returned and attacked the gang. We managed to get rid of them, but a lot of members, including Wutang and Mr. Cangtang have suffered from severe injuries"

"Even Grandpa?!"

"Uhm,", Shin cut the talking between Lu and the driver, "Who is the Feng Kuang?"

The driver explains: "They are one of the biggest triads in the country, Their leader was caught two months ago but he just escaped yesterday."

"But why do they attack your gang? What do they want from a triad without a leader?"

"I think they want revenge, but the reason why is not something I can tell with ease."

"Quit talking already, here is the headquarters.", Lu excitedly got out of the car.

The main headquarters is a big building with a lot of luxury cars parking at the front, even a helipad on the highest floor. Shin and Sakamoto are quickly amazed by the sparkling interior but soon frown on their faces when they see the injured people. After walking through floors, rooms, and even traps, they finally reach the presence chamber.

"I deeply apologize for letting you see this mess, I will immediately prepare the best room for you to stay away from these barbaric hitmen.", Wutang shows up from the room, not forgetting to give Sakamoto and Shin a discriminatory look.

"Eek, stop with that creepy talking, tell us specifically what happened last night, is grandpa alright?", Lu teased the consigliere while telling the other two to sit down.

"Ho ho, don't underestimate your grandpa like that Lu. It seems like you are bringing some extra guests." Lu and the other look behind Wutang. A thin old man with a braided beard comes out, chuckling at the trio.

"Grandpa! Oh let me introduce them, this big man here is Mr. Sakamoto, my present boss, and the blonde guy is Shin, my coworker."

Cangtang approaches Sakamoto and shakes his hand: "You must be the legendary hitman, Sakamoto Tarou huh? You look so different from what I heard." After greeting Sakamoto, the grandfather stares at Shin for a while. 

"Uh, what's wrong Lu, did I do anything offensive to him?", Shin looked at Lu questionably.

"No, it's just you are a bit thin from what I expect to be Lu's boyfriend."

The whole room looks at them, especially Wutang. 

"Grandpa, I already said he is just my coworker!". 

"Yeah, I will never be this drunk girl's boyfriend!". 

"Yes, you will never be, and I won't let such people like you touch my precious Mistress.", Wutang joins in, glaring at Shin as if he could kill him at any time.

Lu stops the chat immediately: "Back to the subject, why would the Feng Kuang revenge on us? Is there anything serious that happened in the past or is it just some sort of small conflicts between triads?"

"Have you checked everything in the hidden safe?"

"Not really, aren't there just jewelry and the former heads' number one treasure-. Wait!"

"What's wrong Shin?", Lu and Sakamoto look at him.

"There can be your father's last word about what happened between the Lu Huang and the Feng Kuang! Is the hidden safe in this headquarters?"

"Unfortunately not. The Feng Kuang stole them last night. But this is the kind of matter that people in the past deal with each other, don't go further into this Mistress."

"But-"

"Instead of worrying for us, isn't the reason you three get here for relaxation? I can tell you some good places to visit in China."

The red-braid girl sulked but soon cheered up after talking with her grandpa for a while. Sakamoto and Cangtang also formed some sort of friendship. In the end, Wutang gave them some souvenirs and told them to leave this for him to solve.

"Hey Lu, do you want to leave this to them?"

"Like I would! But maybe after we get back to Japan. I brought you here and then pulled you into this mess, it is unfair."

"A trip without something like this would be boring.", Sakamoto speaks up, "And we won't be happy if you look sad for the whole trip, so as the Sakamoto family, let's deal with this thing together."

"Boss, I...". Can't hold back anymore, Lu hugs them tightly and sniffs. "I never meet anyone who is that good to me."

"Quit being emotional, let go to those nice places your grandfather mentioned!"
