2| Eleven Hour drives and Long Fights.

"Doing 100 on a 70 highway is absolutely outrages..."

See, it'd been around seven hours since Y/N and June had escaped Nevermore and they've been on the road non-stop ever since and the only thing that Y/N knew was that were heading to Long Island, New York for whatever reason that may be.

"Y/N, I-I know y-you're p-probably really c-confused but—" June said, stuttering his way through his sentence.

"June." Y/N spoke.

"I'll explain everything once—!" The boy tried to continue.

"June!" Y/N exclaimed shocking June and even making him swerve the car just a little. "June, we're friends, right?"

"Y-Yeah of course."

"Then I trust you and the fact that you'll do what's best for us. And if explaining what's happening will put us in danger or something I understand." Y/N says, still staring out the window.

June would look at the boy out of the corner of his eye and smile before turning back to the highway. Y/N was always one of those people born with the ability to change your mood on a whim. If he was happy, he could make you happier. If you were sad, he could make you happy. Changing other people's moods just came naturally to him, that's why a lot of people (Including June) consider him such a joy to be around. Well, excluding Heather and her friends of course.

Within a few more hours, the car slowly came to a stop on a empty road with nothing but dim streetlights lighting the area.

"Okay Y/N, do you see that small hill with the big tree?" June spoke while bending down, seemingly fiddling with his jeans.

"Uh, yeah I... what the—!" Y/N shouts looking down at June's legs. Well, lack thereof because instead of normal human legs June possessed what were cloven hooves and furry goat legs to boot.

"I'll explain this later too!" June said to a Y/N who paid him not attention but instead vouched for staring at his legs muttering "I've gotta be dreaming...." to himself. June would snap his fingers in front of Y/N dragging him out his trance and grabbing his long-time friend's shoulders and smiling at him.

"We're in the home stretch Y/N. Soon I'll sit you down with a cup of F/D and explain everything to you, okay?" June spoke, attempting to hide whatever anxiety he was feeling.

"Y-Yeah, let's do this." Y/N says, starting to just a little bit better about this whole situation.

"Okay, When I say go, we have to make a break for the big tree on top of that hill and no matter what happens, do not stop running until we pass that tree, okay?" June says urgency lacing his voice and in response, Y/N nods.

"G—!" June would end up being silenced by something ripping through the car and flipping it over causing the duo to rock and bang their bodies all over the car before it finally slides to an excruciatingly slow stop.

A string of coughs would escape the lips of Y/N before he would shake a dazed June back into reality. "June. Come on we've got to go. Now!"

Nodding, June would yell "Go!" and the two would bust out of the now totaled car and run towards the large tree on top of the hill. All Y/N could hear was ringing and the yells of June telling him to run faster (which was easier for him considering the goat legs).

Y/N legs wanted to give out on him; but the shrieks of the creature behind him forced him to run faster, the want, no the need to make it to a safer place, the need to survive filled his body call it his survival instinct or whatever you want to call it was the only thing keeping him from giving up and just falling to the ground out of sheer exhaustion. He wouldn't give up if not for himself, for June his friend worked too hard to get him here just for him to lie down and die.
