I WAS TAKING MY chemistry book from my locker when I felt someone's presence behind me. Closing my locker, I turn around and come face to chest with Luke. Or as I like to call him Lucas.
"Lucas what are you doing," I rolled my eyes turning back around.
"Hey V, how's your day been?" he questioned, moving to stand beside me and leaning his back against the locker next to mine.
"It was going great," I close my locker and start walking towards room 102, even though I still had ten minutes until I had to be in class.
"Now it's going amazing right?" Lucas comes up beside me once again. I quicken my pace. So does he.
"Slow down Valerie, we don't have to be in class for a little while, can we talk for a sec?" he says grabbing my arm to slow me down.
"Okay yeah go ahead," I sigh coming to a stop.
"Okay so I need a favour," he says letting go of my arm. He must have seen the annoyance on my face because he quickly added, "before you say no just hear me out please."
I don't say anything, I just nod.
"Okay so I'm failing my calculus class and if I don't get at least a B in the test next week, I'm getting benched," he explains.
"What do you want me to do about that? Break into the principals office and change your grade," I said, sarcastically of course.
"Well, I mean if you're up for it sure," he winked. Ew. "Nah I'm kidding, I talked to Mrs Wilson and she said you have the highest score in the class."
"Get to the point Lucas, I'm gonna be late for class," I snapped.
"Feisty. I was wondering if you could tutor me. Please," he begged flashing me a pearly white grin.
"I don't know," I drawled trying to look anywhere but his eyes. Because if I do I'll feel bad and say yes.
"Pretty please with a big, gigantic cherry on top," he pleaded giving me the puppy dog eyes.
"Can you let me think it over?" I asked in the most polite voice I had to offer. Although it didn't sound very polite.
When he didn't say anything I looked up at him and he gave me another pleading look, with seeing my hesitation he dropped to his knees and took my hand in his.
"Please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please," he repeated. Right there. In the middle of the fucking hallway. I glanced around and saw that almost everyone was looking our way.
Holy mother of jumping spider that's pregnant with a baby snake. I'm gonna kill myself, and hopefully this time it works. Ha.
I looked back at Lucas and whispered as quietly as I could, "Fine I'll tutor you, let go of my hand."
He grinned form ear to ear and jumped up off the ground, jumping up and down yelling 'she said yes', and the hallway was filled with cheers.
For fucks sake.
