Chapter 2: The Roses.

So, when Vincent was changed from his jacket into his regular chlothes He went for dinner with his Dad Lucas and his Mom Rosemary. On the table was a steak and mashed potatoes. His 2nd Favourite. Vincent sat down and they all ate.

Lucas: As you know I am quite suspicious with this Thomas kid. He can be a bad influence to Vincent.
Vincent: Dad, it is really nothing. We are quite good friends.
Rosemary: I agree with Vincent, he has a friend.
Lucas: Any friend can be a bad influence to anybody!
Vincent: Dad, you never let me have any friends. Can't you let me be happy for once?
Lucas: Thomas can be a bad influence and You can be corrupted!
Vincent: YOU CARE ABOUT GRADES MORE THAN ME! YOU CAN'T LET ME BE HAPPY! FOR ATLEAST ONE TIME?!
Lucas: VINCENT THAT IS ENOUGH!
Lucas would slam the table.
Lucas: YOU ARE BEING DISGRACEFUL! YOU ARE CUTTING CONTACT WITH HIM! EVEN IF IT'S THE LAST THING I DO!
Rosemary: Lucas! That is enough! Can't you let Vincent be happy for once!
Vincent would walk to his his room sobbing a bit.
Vincent: I hate you dad.
Lucas: YOU BETTER TAKE THAT BACK YO-
Rosemary would cut him off
Rosemary: STOP IT LUCAS! THAT IS ENOUGH! YOU CARED ABOUT VINCENT'S FUTURE MORE THAN HIS HAPPINESS! CAN'T YOU LET VINCENT BE HAPPY ATLEAST FOR ONE TIME?!
Lucas: HE BETTER CUT CONTACT WITH THOMAS IT IS HIS FAULT THAT HE IS ACTING LIKE THIS!
Rosemary would slap Lucas hard.
Rosemary: IT IS YOUR FAULT THAT HE IS ACTING LIKE THIS! YOU NEVER LET HIM BE HAPPY IN HIS LIFE! YOU ONLY WANTED HIM TO GROW UP TO THE PERSON YOU WANT HIM TO BE! LUCAS, YOU ARE NOT THE SAME MAN I MARRIED! YOU NEVER LET HIM BE HAPPY EVER! I AM DONE WITH YOUR BEHAVIOUR! TOMMOROW WE ARE GETTING DIVORCED!
Lucas would be taken aback by this.
Lucas: I.. I just want him to have a good future, to not fail! I just want to be happy.
Rosemary: TO ISOLATE HIM FROM HIS FRIENDS?! TO LET HIM HAVE ANY FRIENDS?! YOU, LUCAS BARKINGSTON HAVE DESTROYED OUR SON'S HAPPINESS! YOU SAY THAT THOMAS IS A BAD INFLUENCE BUT.. THE TRUTH IS THAT YOU ARE! YOU ISOLATED HIM FROM ANYBODY! YOU ARE AN ENTITLED SON OF A BITCH WHO DOES NOT TAKE CARE OF OUR SON!
Lucas would start to feel bad.
Lucas: But-
Rosemary would cut him off.
Rosemary: NO BUTS! YOU HAVE MENTALLY CUT HIM OFF FOR 15 YEARS OF HIS LIFE! YOU ARE JUST THE WORST PERSON YOU WOULD EVER BE AS A FATHER! A BAD INFLUENCE!
Rosemary would start tearing up
Rosemary: I just can't believe I would marry a fucking narcissist! Let alone a psychopath. You are a literal idiot. I'm going.
Rosemary would go to Vincent's room to confort him.
Lucas would feel like shit so he goes outside to call Manny.

Manny's phone would ring and Manny would pick up in his car
Manny: Hello?
Lucas: Manny.
Manny: Lucas.. Why are you calling? I'm in traffic right now.
Lucas: I... Manny, I fucked up. Ok?
Manny: Woah, what did you fuck up?
Lucas would start sobbing a bit.
Lucas: I fucked up with Rosemary and Vincent. I just, I'm a horrible person. For fifteen straight years i isolated Vincent from his friends, and I.. I honestly fucked up with that. I just felt that Vincent's future was more important. And so I isolated him. I was too blind to see that he was sad with having no friends.
Manny: Dude, you honestly did screw up.
Lucas: And I, do not know how to apologize to them. Both of them in fact. That's why I am calling. To get help from you.
Manny: Dude, I would honestly get an apology gift for both of them. Say that you are sincerely sorry and that you know you fucked up. And that you will never do it again.
Lucas: Do you think that'll work. I mean I fucked up so bad that I don't think they will forgive me.
Manny: Lucas, don't worry I know you screwed up badly and. You should honestly Get them a gift and you apologize sincerely. Maybe they will accept your apology and they'll forgive you.
Lucas: You think so?
Manny: Yeah, dude. You go for it!
Lucas: Thanks a bunch man. I know Vincent wants to watch a ton on VHS movies and. I'll get him some.
Manny: No problem. And you go for it tiger!
Lucas: Thanks!
Lucas would hang up and run to the car, start it up and drive to the nearest blockbuster.

After Lucas would drive to Blockbuster,

Blockbuster Employee: Welcome to Blockbuster, How can i help you?
Lucas: I need tons of VHS tapes!
Blockbuster Employee: Woah! Sir calm down what do you need?
Lucas: I want on the VHS: Die Hard 1, Willy Wonka, Robocop, All three Back to the Future's, Ghostbusters and Home Alone.
Blockbuster Employee: Sir, isn't that too much?
Lucas: No, it isn't, I screwed up.And i want to get my kid some present's.
Blockbuster Employee: Alright that will be... 234 Dollars and 67 Cents.
Lucas: Cash.
Lucas would pay and he would take all the VHS tapes to his car and drive to Walmart to buy his son a VCR and His Wife a lovely dress and some lovely Roses.

After Lucas bought all of these items we would drive home and go to the house.
Lucas would knock on Vincent's room.
Vincent: Go away, dad.
Lucas: I'll just leave this here.
Lucas would leave The VCR and the VHS tapes.
Lucas would walk out the room and Vincent would look.
Lucas would go to Rosemary.
Lucas: Rosemary..
Rosemary: I don't want to talk to you..
Lucas: Listen, I know I fucked up in the past and, I.. just want to apologise..
Rosemary would turn around to see thast Lucas is holding a Beautiful dress and a bouquet of Roses.
Rosemary: Are those for me?
Lucas: Yes, as an apology..
Lucas would give Rosemary the flowers and the bouquet.
Lucas would walk to the door before Vincent ran out his room.
Vincent: Dad!!

Lucas would turn around to see Vincent slightly teared up staring at him. Vincent would run to Lucas to hug him.
Lucas would hug him too.
Vincent: Thank you, Dad..
Lucas: I'm sorry for what I have done Vincent.
Vincent: It's alright..
Rosemary would go to lucas putting the dress and the flowers on the counter to hug him.
Lucas: Listen, I am sorry. I really fucked it all up. I thought getting you a present as an apology would help. I could leave if you still want, I'm just simply here to sincerely apologize.
Rosemary: It's Alright Lucas. And we don't want you to leave.
They all stopped hugging.
Lucas: After this who wants to go to McDonalds?
Vincent: I would love to! You are a great dad!
Lucas: I'm gonna make a call, after my call we will go to McDonalds!
Vincent: Alright!
Lucas would go outside to call Manny.

Manny would pick up.
Lucas: Manny. I did it.
Manny: Dude. You are a legend, congratulations.
Lucas: I'll take them both to McDonalds later. Are you still in traffic?
Manny: No, I'm out of traffic. Actaully i'm 2 And a half Miles from my work place. So yeah Congratulations man.
Lucas: Thanks. It's really been good. Anyways, I'm gonna take Vincent to McDonalds now. Ok? See you tommorow!
Manny: Alright man! Bye!
Lucas: Bye dude.
They would hang up and Lucas would go in to take Vincent and Rosemary to McDonalds.
We would see the roses, for the final time as the three go out, to McDonalds.
