THIRD PERSON POV

(3 months later)

"Hyung, did you see my medicines?" Minho asked when he felt severe pain in his back. Chan shook his head and rushed towards him.

"Lemme find them for you"  Minho nodded to his statement and waited for the older to bring his medicines. The pain was being unbearable as he felt his body aching. Everytime he was in pain he took his painkillers and the pain went away.

Chan looked everywhere in their bedroom but he couldn't find the box. He started panicking when Minho's started groaning in pain. "W-Wait.. I am finding them" The blond tried to calm down his boyfriend but the situation was getting out of his hands.

"Shall I call the doctor?" Chan asked to the younger as Minho shook his head in denial. "Hyung.. I don't think so I will be able to bear this pain till doctor arrives"

"Let me drive you to the hospital then" Chan hurriedly grabbed his car keys. "Did you searched them in the kitchen?" Minho said with tears welling up in his eyes.

That's when Chan realised that he never brought the medicines back from the kitchen. He took them to the kitchen when Minho was cooking and forgot them there. He cursed himself under his breath for being so careless.

He rushed to the kitchen without wasting any more time. He searched in the kitchen shelves and it actually was there. He took the small medicine box with him and handed the painkillers to Minho with a glass of water.

Guilt. He felt guilty for Minho suffering because of his carelessness. "I should not have been so careless─"

"No, I should have been more careful" Minho reassured the older with a smile. "It's not completely your fault" He added later.

"I g-got so scared" Chan scooted closer to the brunette and pulled him in his embrace. Minho wrapped his arms around the latter as well. He felt something wet on his shoulder and when he pulled away he met with the older's teary eyes. He instantly cupped Chan's face and wiped off the tears with his sweater's hem. "Hyung, it's not your fault─"

"No, Min, it was my fault to take the medicines to the kitchen and not bringing them back. I-If you didn't remember your condition would have been worser. I don't want you get hurt because of me."

"I'm fine now and that matters" Minho told the older as he was pulled into an another bone crashing hug. He smiled to himself at how protective his boyfriend was for him.

He felt his heart shattering when he read his reports, doctors said he'll live for hardly 6 or 7 months as the cancer already is spreading in his spine then to his lungs as well. How can he leave Chan to suffer all alone? He remembered the past memories when he made a promise with the older that he will never leave him. He never expected to leave Chan that early though... He wanted to live atleast for few more years but this World seemed to be against him.

(Flashbacks)

"Happy birthday, hyung" Minho handed Chan a pair of shoes, Chan smiled brightly at the younger flashing his dimples.

"This is so beautiful, Minnie but I want something more" Chan said with a serious expression. Minho raised his one eyebrow indicating the latter to keep going.

"I want you stay with me forever. As long as you're with me I'm the happiest person in this world. You're the best gift of mine"

"Trust me, hyung, I will never leave you" Minho's smile was brighter than the sun showing how true his promise was.

(End of the flashback)

"Minho, I know it seems stupid but I want to ask you something" Chan whispered. He was unsure whether should he ask the question to Minho or not. He didn't know how the younger will react to his question. "Maybe we are not dating for a long time but I have loved you from the very first time. Years passed and my feelings grew stronger with every day now I can't even imagine of living a life without you. You're the source of my happiness, you're the sun to my dark sky, you make me the happiest person alive─"

"Hyung─"

"Please listen to me, Minho" Chan stated before taking the younger's hands into his. "It was never easy for us.. I don't know what is waiting for us in the future but I want to spend the amount of time I have left with no one else but you. You are loveliest, funniest, the most beautiful and purest person I have ever known and I was lucky enough to get the chance to be your boyfriend, But now, I want to change it, I want to marry you and become your husband. Will you marry me Lee Minho?"

Minho sat there without uttering a single word. after thinking for a while he decided to reply, "Hyung, I would have agreed but I have no time left─"

"Nor do I, Min" Chan stated and went towards his closet to take out a file from the locker and handing it to Minho. Chan's reports said that he'll lose a huge part of his memory very soon and it'll be very difficult for him to recognise any people or place. Minho's eyes started getting watery by the thought of losing the older he instantly got up from the bed and threw his arms around the blond. "I don't know, hyung. Give me some time I'll think about it" He mumbled softly before pulling away.

"Don't cry", Chan brushed Minho's tears with his thumb. "These tears doesn't suit your pretty face"

"Ugh! You're so flirty" Minho hit the older's chest playfully and scrunched up his whole face making Chan burst into a laughter. Soon Minho joining him as well.

"So.. you want us to decide whether should you accept Chan hyung's proposal or not?" Hyunjin took a sip from his drink and eyed the older boy who was sitting across him and his boyfriend Jisung. "I'm not telling you to decide but I want a suggestion" Minho stated with a frown.

"It's completely your decision, hyung and you should not suppress your feelings just because you are scared of leaving him." Jisung explained. Chan told him about his health condition and he knows that Chan isn't going to live for a long time either. He just wants his bestfriends to be happy.

"I'll have to think about it, Ji. For now let's go home"

"Mhm" Jisung hummed in response a little disappointed by the older's decision but it's his life anyways, he can't force Minho to marry Chan.

When Minho started getting up from his seat he his chest started aching as he stopped moving and fell on the ground. He couldn't take breathes. He was suffocating and gasping hard to catch air but he couldn't. He didn't understand what's happening to him all of a sudden.

Hyunjin and Jisung dashed towards him and Jisung started rubbing his back while Hyunjin was about to dial for ambulance but Minho stopped him by holding his hands. "I-I am fine, Hyunjin. No need to call ambulance"

"Hyung, you're not. Let me do" the taller male stated, loosening Minho's grip from his wrists. "I told you.. I'm fine"

"Enough hyung, you're hurting yourself. Please listen to us only once" Hyunjin's heart ached when he saw the older boy finding it difficult to breathe. He was really on the verge of tears but he didn't find it right place to cry. It's his bestfriend whom we're talking about.

Then he called the ambulance and it arrived and took Minho to the hospital.
