THIRD PERSON POV
Minho flutter opened his eyelids. He couldn't feel the pain anymore. His chest wasn't hurting anyone. His breathing was normal, his heart was beating on its usual pace. He could feel the oxygen passing through his lungs. He observed his surroundings and found himself in the same hospital room he was in last time, same monitor beside his bed in which he can see his heart rate perfectly. He was breathing without any difficulties.
A small smile streched across Minho's rosy lips. His mind was free from the dark thoughts as his chest was not hurting anymore. His heart was calm there was no pain. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. It felt so nice that he was breathing without any difficulties. The feeling was euphoric.
The fresh air felt amazing as a sensation rushed through his veins. Slowly he opened his eyes and they met with Hyunjin's who stared at him with a hurt expression.
Minho frowns not seeing Chan when he opened his eyes. He was expecting the older to be here instead. He was disappointed that Chan didn't stay with him.
Why is he not here with him? Where is he? How can he not be here? Questions filled Minho's mind and soon the strong feeling of euphoria got replaced with panic.
He looked like a lost child who was yearning for Chan's presence. His urge to talk to Chan hurted his heart. "Chan hyung", Minho said and started panicking once he didn't get any response. "Chan hyung, are you there? Where are you, hyung?"
He couldn't find Chan anywhere instead of him there was his bestfriend Hyunjin standing on the doorway with a frown spreading across plump lips and his eyes looked red. His cheeks were gleaming in the light, the tears were flowing down freely. Minho raised his one brow in confusion, not understanding the reason behind the younger's upset look.
He noticed his friend's face looked so pale and emotionless as if someone snatched his soul out of his body. What can make him go this way? he thought.
"Hyunjin-ah?" Minho called out his name in a raspy voice. His throat was dry and his he felt a stinging pain in his chest when he tried to move his body. "Hyung, don't please move.." The younger quickly rushed towards Minho and helped him to get into a sitting position.
"How are you feeling, hyung?" Hyunjin slowly pulled out a chair and took a seat beside Minho, he passed the older a small smile which didn't reach his eyes. His actions confused Minho even more.
"Feeling better but it hurts in my chest" Minho admitted truthfully and breaking the eye contact with his friend. "Then you should take some rest" Hyunjin said softly before getting up from his chair but Minho held his wrist and gave him a confused look. "Where's Chan hyung? Why is he not here?" Hyunjin's whole body stiffened at hearing Chan's name as he started looking everywhere but Minho, he didn't have the courage to look at the older's eyes which were patiently waiting for his answer.
"Hyun?" Minho mumbled his friend's name as Hyunjin finally met his eyes and tears started beaming into his hazel eyes.
"Hyung, you should rest now.. you just had a surgery and taking stress is not a good thing for you" Hyunjin whispered to the older and started freeing his hand from the older's grip. "Hyunj─"
"Hyung, please try to understand!" Hyunjin shouted making the older even confused than he already was. Hyunjin was not in a state to answer any of his questions his own heart was breaking into pieces.
"What are you hiding, Hyunjin?" Minho's voice was filled with curiosity. He was constantly asking the same question to Hyunjin which made him frustrated.
"Chan hyung decided to donate his lungs to you... He is no more, hyung! We tried to convince him but he was determined... We couldn't change his decision and he saved your life!" Hyunjin's voice cracked with his cracking heart. And Minho? His face went pale, there was no emotion. Hyunjin couldn't understand whether he was hurt, angry or disappointed. His face was completely blank like a white paper.
