Third POV
Once Sasaki had made his first request for another manga, that began the whole manga trading back and forth routine. Honestly, (Y/N) didn't think he'd want another manga, but the girl promised to get him another one as soon as she had one.
Another day came and went, and while the sole girl and Miyano, along with Kuresawa, Niko, and another friend of theirs named Tashiro Gonzaburou, sat around in their classroom enjoying their free period, someone else quickly made his appearance as he slid the door open.
"Delivery for Chika-chi and Miya~" Sasaki announced, catching the two's attention.
"What?" Miyano piped up as he and the (h/c) haired girl turned toward the entrance to see the smiling orange haired upperclassman.
Miyano was probably the only one out of the duo that had taken notice of this, but Sasaki was visiting both him and (Y/N) a lot more often. So much so that it seemed a little too excessive in his book. But, knowing his childhood friend, the black haired boy knew that she wouldn't mind because she was a very social person.
In fact, her response to him coming said it all.
"Oooh, I like deliveries," the girl smiled as she clapped her hands together.
Both of the students soon stood up and made their way over to the older boy with the other three watching on, all three of them looking a little confused. Once Miyano and (Y/N) had made it over to Sasaki, the orange haired boy held out two neatly wrapped packages full of goodies.
"I want you guys to have these cookies I made in cooking class. Thanks for the manga," he showed his gratitude as he handed the gifts to the two younger students.
"Oh, thanks. That's nice."
"Yeah, thank you, Saki!"
(Y/N) loved free food, especially if it was homemade, so she took the cookies graciously while Miyano did it more politely, in his usual fashion.
"They're not super sweet though, I hope you don't mind," Sasaki informed them.
Didn't matter to the sole female student. If they were cookies, then that made this gift even better in her eyes. She couldn't say the same about her black haired friend, however.
"Hey, they're cookies. All cookies are delicious. Besides, Kazu hates sweet things," she exposed the boy next to her as she pointed at him with her thumb.
Why did she always have to tell all of his secrets? It wasn't embarrassing, but he felt that the taller girl tended to exaggerate just a little bit. Miyano kind of shot her a look as his cheeks turned pink.
"Hate is kind of a strong word, don't you think? I don't hate everything sweet. I'm just not as big of a fan of sweet things as you are, Chi," the black haired boy retorted, which didn't really sting her all that much.
Didn't matter if things weren't sweet. It was food. Anyone would like free food, especially if it looked all cute too. They were little squares that had kind of a checkerboard pattern on them, and they were cut so neatly too. The taller girl was pretty much convinced at this point that Sasaki was secretly a pastry chef.
As for her saying Miyano didn't like sweet stuff, well, she wasn't wrong about that. So basically, when he was kind of giving her a scolding for exposing him like it was nothing, she could tell there was an underlying message to it all.
"In other words, these are perfect, Saki," she informed the older boy, smiling at him while holding up the bag of cookies.
"Oh, great! See ya later then," the orange haired boy returned her expression before waving as he walked off and back to his classroom.
