Summer was always an exciting season for students who were still in school, the prospect of summer break just around the corner made everyone excited. They just had to get through a couple more days and they were in the home stretch. For one student in particular, it made her want to dance around the entire world.
"Chi, you ready?" A voice called out to our lovely protagonist, (Y/N) Chikafuji, as she finished up her loose side braid with her long (h/c) hair.
"Yeah! Gimme a sec!" She called back to her dorm roommate and childhood friend, Yoshikazu Miyano.
Putting her hands out to check out her newly painted purple nails. Well, one hand had dark purple and the other was more of a light purple because...why not? She got her new acrylic powders yesterday, so she just had to try them out. Okay, one last look in the mirror, her white t-shirt was all spiffy, she had on her necklace, rings, black arm sleeve, and earrings, her capris and skirt were all in place, now to make sure she had everything.
The girl knew her phone was already in her bag with that was decorated with Totoro and Pikachu plushie keychains, so all she had to get were her AirPods. Looking at the table next to her bed, the girl spotted the familiar blue color before reaching over to grab them.
"Here they are. Okay, let's go!" (Y/N) called back to Miyano as she stuffed her blue Stitch themed cased AirPods into her bag before rushing out the door where her slightly shorter friend was waiting.

Closing and locking the door to their dorm, the two students began making their way down the street and towards the train station as the sun began to shine down on them. It definitely put the taller girl in a lovely mood as a smile plastered itself onto her face as she twirled around on the sidewalk just as the two made it to the station.
"What a beautiful day! It's almost summer break, we can go home for a little bit," (Y/N) listed off as she scanned her train pass along with Miyano.
"You've always liked the warmer seasons, haven't you, Chi?" He brought up, calling her by the nickname he had come up with since childhood.
The two's families had known each other for quite some time, so the two basically grew up together, going to the same school since elementary. The girl was always the more outgoing and cheerful of the two, but that didn't matter. Besides, going home meant the two of them could make more trips to the bookstore.
"Well, spring's gotta be my favorite. Not too hot and not too cold. Speaking of," the (h/c) haired girl started as she and Miyano caught the first train that pulled up, getting on, and taking the closest seats by the sliding door.
The black haired boy watched as girl beside him began to dig through her bag before she pulled out her new iPhone 14 Pro Max that she purchased with her own money through a part-time job. She was very proud of this purchase. Seconds later, (Y/N) held up the back of it so that Miyano could see her other lovely purchase.
