Chapter Seven: Encounter

Kiba and the four kids were still running through the forest, heading to the main Akatsuki base. 

"Nii-san?" Sasuto asked, "Is this even going to work?" 

"Maybe," Haru replied, "I'm not sure, to be honest."

"It appears that there are five people approaching us fast," Kazuku said. 

"Four of them are kids though," Hidan added. 

"Kids?" Boruto asked with an eyebrow raised. 

Meanwhile, Sarada was trying to activate the Chidori. 

"Don't bother," Orochimaru grinned, "These bars make it so you can't use any chakra, it's hopeless." 

"We're going to get out at some point!" Boruto growled. 

"You might," Kazuku said, "But it's really your companions we want to keep, you're only bait." 

"Get the cage moved to the backup spot, Oro. Kazuku and I will handle the brats," Hidan growled. 

Shikadi crossed his arms, "What a drag."

The five of them reached the entrance, "Wait," Kiba said, "We don't know if this is a trap or not." 

"But waiting is such a drag," Takami crossed her arms. 

"Hima," Kiba said, "Use your Byakugan, what's going on in there?" 

Himawari nodded and activated the Byakugan. 

"It looks like...two of the Akatsuki members are standing right in front of the door on the other side and in the far back of the base, the cage is being transported by a weirdo with white skin." 

"Describe the Akatsuki members to me," Kiba said, "We need to know who we're dealing with." 

"One has his face covered and only his eyes are visible, the other has a giant triple-bladed scythe." 

"Hidan and Kazuku," Kiba growled, "This is gonna be harder than I thought." 

Sasuto clung to Haru again, "Big brother, I'm scared." 

"Don't worry, Sasu," Haru replied, "Everything will be fine." 

Kiba glanced behind him, And when is that backup going to arrive? 

"Since they obviously know we're here, we're going to have go straight into a fight, just don't get touched by the scythe and you'll be fine," Kiba seemed very nervous. 

They opened the door and indeed, Kazuku and Hidan stood there, weapons ready. 

"Well then, let's take my first victim in a long time," Hidan grinned. 

"You're not taking anyone today!" Kiba growled. 

No one noticed that Hidan had already gotten the blood preparations ready, all he needed was a victim. 

"Chidori!" Haru shouted, running at Kazuku with the glowing blue lightning blade activated. 

"Hmph," Kazuku frowned under the mask as his strings tied up Haru, "Pathetic." 

"Fang over fang!" Kiba and Akamaru came from behind, but Kazuku dodged easily, causing Kiba to faceplant the ground. 

Sasuto watched with horror as his companions failed to take down Kazuku, while Kiba had to stay away from Hidan while fighting him, which didn't do him any good. 

He took a deep breath and whispered to himself, "Get yourself together, remember what Shino-sensei told you." 

Then he glared at Kazuku, who paid no attention to the youngest Uchiha as he choked the three Genin. 

"Sharingan," he whispered, activating the thing he kept secret from his family. 

After examining Kazuku, he acted, "Chidori." 

"Huh?" When Kazuku finally noticed the little Uchiha running at him, it was too late, he got slammed in the face with a Chidori blast, followed by Haru's Chidori in the heart. 

"Argh," Kazuku growled, "I may have dropped my guard once, but it won't happen again." 

Not realizing, he already did it again, Himawari came in, attacking most of his chakra points with the Byakugan. 

Haru and Sasuto took down two more of his hearts, leaving him with one more. 

"Byakugan!" 

"Chidori!" 

"Wind style!" 

Three different justus, three young kids, all striking Kazuku down at the same time. 

Kazuku had managed to move out of the way, they barely missed his last heart, "Heh, too slow," he smirked, not noticing that only three of four had struck. 

SLAM!

With a final punch, Kazuku was taken down by Haru's earth-shattering fist, which also knocked Hidan and Kiba apart from each other. 

"I'll be fine over here!" Kiba said, "You go after Orochimaru!" 

"No!" Himawari argued, "We're not leaving you!" 

"I'll be fine, backup should be here soon! Go, now!" Kiba scowled as he dodged the scythe again. 

The kids nodded and ran after the Uchiha-obsessed snake man. 

"You really think that was the right choice?" Hidan asked with a smirk on his face, "You know how powerful Orochimaru is, he won't be beaten by a bunch of brats." 

"You're right, brats can't beat him, but they aren't brats."

"Come on, we need to go faster!" Naruto said to his companions. 

"We're almost there, chill out!" Shikamaru replied. 

"All the more reason to go faster!" Sasuke agreed with Naruto and sped up. 

"He does have a point," Temari said and sped ahead. 

"Wait up!" Sakura also sped up, leaving Shikamaru behind. 

"I suppose they're right," Shikamaru nodded and joined the others. 

When they arrived, they saw Kazuku lying on the ground, defeated, and Kiba fighting Hidan. 

"Kiba? What happened here?" Naruto asked. 

"Oh, you're here, thank god!" Kiba dodged another attack, "Hurry up and do something!" 

Suddenly Orochimaru appeared beside Hidan, "You go deal with the brats, I'll take these guys." 

Hidan nodded and disappeared. 

"Orochimaru," Sasuke growled. 

"Hello, old friend," Orochimaru smirked. 

"Oh, shut up, I killed you the first time, and I'll do it again!" Sasuke growled and ran at him.

"Great, now we're facing the immortal one," Haru muttered. 

"Don't worry, we can just defeat him like my dad did," Takami got into battle position. 

"And risk having someone come along and sew him back up again? No," Himawari replied. 

"That's why we're going to change things up a bit," Takami smirked. 

"Oh, I get it," Haru nodded. 

Himawari caught up a few moments after, "I see, I call the head." 

"No, the head's mine!" Haru argued. 

"Will you two shut up and do it already?" Sasuto growled, activating Chidori again. 

"How do you even have the Chidori?" Haru asked. 

"I copied it from Dad when he was teaching it to you," Sasuto beamed and ran at Hidan, dodging the scythe.
