a few days have passed since their encounter, and no matter how busy she can be with training, her mind will always drive her back to him somehow. and she can't deny that the fact that he looked desperate when he talked to her that day, gave her a small confidence boost.
she is more than happy that he left that so-amazing super model too, since she got a massive wave of hate for splitting them up and saying things as if they were really in a relationship even though she knew damn well riki always liked eunchae. yena would often post photos that looked really boyfriend material that she either got from internet or from eunchae's account that wasn't that famous back then.
it wasn't difficult for people to connect the dots and understand that he got dumped that night because of yena and to finally look up eunchae's name on socials to see all the pictures her and riki took together (including selfies of them in bed cuddling that she posted after her friends dared her to).
and eunchae understood that the relationship was entirely for business only and, at least for him, there were no feelings involved. does she feel a tiny bit guilty about the way she dumped him? well, yes, but that was still cheating even if it's just business.
so she decided to give him a second chance, the last one too, to make up and try again. but of course she'll still follow her friends advices and make him work for her love.
she took a deep breath and nodded her head, pushing the glass door of the dance academy open and walking to the receptionist's desk with a smile. "good evening, how can i help you?" the woman smiled warmly at her after noticing her presence, fixing the small rectangular glasses that rested on the bridge of her nose and bowing her head lightly when eunchae did the same.
"good evening ma'am, i'm looking for nishimura riki." the woman in her sixties slightly raised her brow in suspicion since this wasn't the first time a girl would show up to the private school and look for riki pretending to be his girlfriend. "and what are you for him?"
eunchae reflected for a moment before mentally nodding at her thought and agreeing with it. "a friend. a school friend." the middle aged woman nodded her head and outstretched her arm to the left to point at the practice room, her smile back on her lightly wrinkled face. "to the left, the lesson should be almost over." the girl mumbled a thank you while bowing her head multiple times as she slowly walked away from the desk.
the door was closed, but it had a glass square in the middle of it that allowed her to see what was going on inside. she never knew riki also taught kids how to dance, apart from learning multiple choreos for different shows he was gonna hold or participate in.
but he looked so big compared to them and he was extremely gentle and soft with them, crouched down beside a little girl in a corner as he comforted her and caressed her back while she cried frustrated that she was slow compared to the other kids.
"hey, it's okay to learn at a different pace haesoo, as long as you're learning it's okay, right?" the little girl nodded her head and sniffed, letting another hiccup leave her lips while her tiny hands covered her crying face. "the lesson is over for today, but we can always practice on friday okay? just take your time to learn the routine. now, you can go wash up in the bathroom and then go to your mom." haesoo wiped her tears away and sat up from the floor, running to the bench were all their colored water bottles were left before greeting riki goodbye and heading outside just like the other kids did earlier, almost bumping into eunchae's legs while doing so.
now, that was the cutest thing she is ever gonna witness in her whole life.
"hey riki," she knocked on the door grabbing his attention, his whole body turning towards her as he quickly swallowed a big sip of water and set the bottle back in his bag, pushing his hair back for them to not get drenched in sweat. "e-eunchae, what are you doing here? i thought you had practice?"
"ah yeah, i finished earlier so i passed by." eunchae brushed her hair our of her eyes as she let the awkward silence surround them slowly, riki gathering his things in his bag and taking a small white towel to wipe the sweat away. it was as if the words got stuck in her throat, seeing him looking so fine drenched in sweat and cheeks flushed pink from overworking during all the lessons he did.
the silence was bothering her, it was annoying how the words were on the tip of her tongue but she couldn't manage to let them escape her lips, while riki? riki didn't even notice that they've been standing in silence for the past minutes because he was too busy admiring her. it's been so long since he had the chance to have her so up close and crave in her features.
"i want to try again." the sentence slipped past her lips with a too straightforward tone, definetly not the way she has planned this through while coming here and all the times she had a moment to think during the day. "what i mean is, i have reflected on it, and i decided to give you one last chance." the japanese boy pressed his lips to hold back a smile but failed to do so as he glanced back at her and just nodded his head, making up the best answer to this sentence in his head to not fuck this up, again.
"let's try again then."
