running towards the backstage after the breath-taking performance, nishimura riki stumbled back once his lover's arms were wrapped around his waist and her head rested on his hard chest. "you did great ki!" hong eunchae smiled warmly at him as she looked up by distancing herself a little from his burning hot body, seeing how he returned the smile sweetly and ruffled her pitch black hair.
"you did better, eun." he kissed her damp cheek that was previously dripping in sweat and ruffled her hair again which earned an adorable whine from the shorter girl. "i just got my hair fixed!"
"you look pretty either way." he fixed the messed up roots gently by running his fingers through her night sky strands, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear while doing so. "you are so pretty no matter the hairstyle."
eunchae smiled and looked into his deep eyes, feeling like she could drown in all the love pouring out of his warm irises every time he looked at her.
their love was the 'she fell first but he fell harder' trope if you asked her.
it's like gazing inside those sparkly eyes of his made her feel safe, as if it was just the two of them and nothing else mattered. whenever she was in riki's arms and she got the chance to stare into those deep eyes, she felt at home.
"let's go out." riki blurted out after wrapping his arms securely around her waist, letting her features sink in inside his mind as if she was a picture that was about to slip out of his hands and fade away forever. he knew what she looked like, he knew every single detail about her face because of how many times he admired her, but every time he looked at her it was just like seeing her for the first time again.
"let's go on a date once this is over."
"but it's like 9.30 pm? there's no restaurant that's gonna serve us dinner at this hour." he smiled and shook his head as to signal her to not worry about it, gently letting go of her body to go fan himself and get his makeup fixed since the both of them had to go back on stage to receive their award soon.
"you'll see."
!!!
"why are we at kyujin and haerin's cat cafe at this hour? don't they close at 8 pm?" eunchae questioned while being dragged down the empty streets of seoul as riki held her hand in his tightly, admiring the view of seoul's night sky which she missed watching so much. don't get her wrong, she loves japan so much, but she has to admit that she sometimes feels homesick and misses her friends and family a lot.
riki's family is extremely welcoming and she's so grateful about that, but it's the same exact way riki felt when he lived in korea like he told her. you can't help but miss the place you grew up in.
"welcome back to korea love birds, me and haerin will be in the back restocking everything and preparing what we need for tomorrow. enjoy~" jang kyujin opened the door with a warm smile as soon as she saw the two approaching the door, not wanting them to melt in the warm temperature of july.
"we can make coffee too?" the younger girl asked excitedly and started jumping around once kyujin nodded, hearing her chuckle lightly before she began making her way towards the back of the cat cafe. "just don't make a mess or we'll have to clean up!"
"we'll clean up if that's so!"
riki set their bags, which he offered to carry despite her telling him she can carry hers herself, on a free chair before he carefully placed the award on the table but once he turned around, eunchae was already in a corner petting a cat.
"look ki! isn't he cute?" the girl pointed at a chocolate milk cat with darker stripes and boba eyes, picking him up by placing her hands under his armpits before bringing him towards her boyfriend. he smiled and nodded, patting his small head as he purred with squinted eyes.
the cat was cute, definitely, but riki finds eunchae way cuter.
"do you want to make coffee? kyujin taught me how to make an iced vanilla latte!" eunchae asked excitedly after letting go of the cat, gazing at him with puppy eyes begging for him to give in and see how she's trying to learn how to make his favorite drink just for him.
how can he say no to such a cutie? he can't stand the pout that curves her lips whenever he says no to her, which only happens occasionally.
"of course. just don't make a mess like when you tried to make an iced americano back in japan. my mom scolded me for the condition the kitchen was in." eun grinned embarrassed just by remembering the chaos going on when she made an iced americano at riki's house, staying there for a few days while waiting for their own apartment to be finished.
some may say they're too young to live together, but being 19 and 20 makes them both legal in japan so they are allowed to share an apartment without parental consent.
"i hope i won't. kyujin and haerin will kill me if that happens."
and so that's how the two spent the next hours making coffees, losing track of time as they laughed like there's no tomorrow at each other's attempts in making a tasty drink but failing every single time.
"can we get a cat when we go back to japan? i really want a kitten." the younger questioned, placing the lilac straw on her pink-ish lips and sipping on the beverage her boyfriend made for her as she rested her head on his shoulder.
riki kissed her head and smiled, taking a sip of the iced vanilla latte she managed to prepare for him before smiling at her request. "anything for you, my love."
will there be a second one?? who knows . . .
