"eunchae, can i talk to you in private?" her dance mentor called her name after stopping the music blasting from the bluetooth speakers in the practice room, immediately creating a quiet but audible flown of whispers among the trainees. eunchae tightened her ponytail that has fallen apart from dancing the new routine she just learned, not being able to do it earlier, and pressing her lips into a thin line nervously.
she glanced at the dance mentor that was waiting for her at the door, holding it open for her to get out in order to have some privacy while they talk. as soon as eunchae stood before her, the woman let out a disappointed sigh whilst shaking her head, crossing her arms over her chest as the girl grew anxious and anxious about what she needs to tell her. "eunchae, where do you think you are going with this attitude?"
"seriously- did you learn the routine this morning before practice?" she lowered her head in shame and began fidgeting with her t-shirt, feeling embarrassed by her behavior the last months. she had sacrificed her hours of practice until late night because she wanted to spend time with riki now that their relationship started again.
she was thinking of quitting anyway, but she didn't wanna get scolded the day she was going to leave. after experiencing the trainee life for more than a year, she realized she doesn't wanna do this live for years until the industry grows tired of her and focuses on younger idols. she prefers keeping singing and dancing as two hobbies she'll know how to do right.
"you were one of the best and most hardworking trainees! what happened now? is it because of that boyfriend of yours? you should know how to balance personal life and work." surprisingly, eunchae didn't sheed any tears during this conversation, despite the cold aura she was giving her with a gaze that pierced through her soul and nearly degrading sentences.
"it's either you break up with him and start focusing on your training again or you leave the company tonight." her ears pearked up at the last sentence, fingers freezing trapped between the fabric of her t-shirt and eyes glued to the ground. this is the perfect opportunity for eunchae, and she is not gonna waste it. eunchae refused to break up with him, and she was actually able to tell her dance mentor that she didn't like this life and wanted to quit. and surprisingly, she was extremely understanding.
so that exact night, she left hybe and all her training behind. trainee life was exhausting, and she doesn't wanna live like that for the next years. not when she has someone way more important to focus on. balancing personal life and training (plus school) was extremely hard and she clearly wasn't able to do that.
yes, being an idol was her dream, but after she got a taste of reality, she realized this life doesn't suit her at all. she wants to enjoy her teenage years, she wants to be able to date without any restriction or ban, and she wants to live a peaceful and free life from the high levels of stress and pressure she experienced during this year.
she'll just stick to posting covers and maybe helping riki with his lessons back at the dance school. speaking of which, things have been going amazing between them. nearly three months ago probably, eunchae and riki became boyfriend and girlfriend again after riki asked her as they laid down beside eachother on the practice room floor, laughing and drenched in sweat from dancing all night. it may sound weird, but it was so romantic for her for some reasons.
maybe she doesn't like trainee life, but maybe she is also doing it to not split this perfect relationship apart.
so sad in like 5 chapters or smth this story ends
