chapter 3

It was now the very next day and Eddie honestly spent the whole previous night thinking about his evening with Scarlett. He expected her to of course not acknowledge him today though during school like she usually did but he couldn't help but feel giddy at the thought of her.

There he sat for 1st period in the back of the class hoping for her to show up, but he didn't expect her to because she only went to her 1st period once a week or even twice. Which he didn't blame her for because he hated the class and teacher Mrs. Lawrence. I mean she was the biggest miserable bitch but then that's what happens when you're a high school teacher with zero patience. If he could he'd ditch algebra or any class in general but if he did his dad would find out and would lead to a fight.

The class was slowly filling up and had about 10 more minutes until the bell would ring, this was the only class that didn't have assigned seats so majority of the class would sit in the front and the back was reserved for the outcasts. I mean the teacher did try to assign them seats at the beginning of the year but her 1st period were a bunch of wild kids who constantly changed seats and no matter how many times she told them not to they wouldn't listen so she eventually gave up.

Eddie sat there tapping his fingers on his desk in a daze until he heard the classroom door open and saw Scarlett which caused him to sit up straight in his seat.
The only seat that so happened to be available was right between him and another kid named Jonathan.

She passed by her friends in the front of her class and gave them all a small hi and made her way to the back where the only empty seat happened to be. One thing he happened to noticed was her eyes they were red as the pits of hell and she had a faint hint of weed on her, which he thought was hot.

He played it cool as she sat next to him. She leaned back in her seat with her arms crossed feeling good. She was lost in her thoughts for a little until she noticed Eddie put something on her desk. Eye drops.

It took her a minute to process what was going on so she turned and gave him a confused look. " You need them. " He said as he gestured to her eyes. " Are they that bad? " She asked.

" Let's say if you're trynna get caught by the teacher so you can get suspended then yes...they're that bad. " He said sarcastically. " Thanks. " She rolled her eyes at his dramatic response as she opened the cap and put the drops in her eye. " Sure. " He winked as she handed him back his eye drops.

Eventually the bell rang and their teacher rambled on but Scarlett was too spaced out to fully understand what she was teaching, she tried to pay attention as she sat there in her seat looking at the chalkboard she was writing on.

" How the fuck are you doing that so quickly?? " Eddie asked quietly raising his eyebrow. " Doing what? " Scarlett asked giving him a weird look.

" That. " he pointed to her hand, she didn't even notice she was twirling her pencil in her hand...at times she did that thinking it was her drumsticks. Sadly she didn't have a drum set to go with them since she had to leave her set behind at her moms when she moved to Hawkins to live with her aunt, but thankfully she kept her sticks.

" Oh I don't know...it's easy though. " She shrugged as she turned her attention to the front of the class. Eddie tried to twirl his pencil like her but failed, his pencil ended up falling onto the desk causing her to laugh to herself.

" Ya know my buddy Gareth knows how to do that, he plays the drums. " Eddie said as he turned to look at her. " Oh? " She said not so interested. " I should introduce you to him I think you two would hit it off. " Eddie said to see what she would say. There's no way in hell he would actually try to get Scarlett with Gareth before he could shoot his shot with her.
